What do you guys think is the best CC ability in the game (taking cooldowns and early laning availability into account, so it isn't just ults posted)?

I think the best I've seen are

1.Rupture (Cho'Gath), High Damage, Knock-Up, Slow (seriously could this get better?)
2.Puncturing Taunt (Rammus), Taunts and reduces armor
3.Curse of the Sad Mummy (Amumu) AoE Snare and Heavy Damage, long cooldown though.
4.Event Horizon (Veigar), Delayed AoE Stun
5.Cryptic Gaze (Sion), Really long stun
6.Pyromania (Annie), Every 5 casts of anything and she stuns.
7.Mark of the Storm (Kennen), (Much like Annies, but must all stack on single target within a certain time frame)
8.CH-1 Concussion Grenade (Heimerdinger), Stuns target and blinds surrounding enemies
9.Aegis of Zeonia (Pantheon), Flashes to target, stuns and damages. Protects against one attack too.
10.Null Sphere (Kassadin), Silences a target and deals serious damage. Great for winning poke fights.

What do you guys think?

Ya I forgot Veigars, that should be on there.

Taric I find is not as good as panth or sion for stun, and kennon and annie get stuns as a passive. That said he is still brutal in any lane combo because he has CC and awesome support.

Alistar is pretty ignorable in every regard including CC at least in my humble opinion.

Annie's pyromania is every 5 spells not 3.
Veigar - AoE stun
Shen - Dash AoE taunt
Blitzcrank - AoE silence with decent ish CD
Fiddlesticks - 3 second fear + AoE silence
Udyr - 1 second stun with short CD

There is a lot more but most of those are better CC than some of the ones you have on that list. Pantheon's stun isn't very long until it's maxed which it shouldn't be early on. It's better to use to close the gap rather than stun.
Taric stun > Pantheon stun.

Throwing out Fiddle's Fear, just because it's one of, if not the only long duration disable with no travel time.

Fear = 3 seconds
Null Sphere = 2.6 seconds
Fear > Null Sphere

That is at level 5 of both skills

Panths may be shorter duration but the instant gap closure and shield allow him to use it to greater effect IMO.

any stun with a short CD is amazing. Also, not sure if you count blitz grab as CC, but imo it's one of the best if you do.

Null sphere has much better range though. And damage. great harrass skill.
