The High Survivability Vladamir Guide.

First off let me quickly state that this is not a tank build for Vladamir. It is a high survivability guide taking advantage of his heal affects and his passive. It allows Vladamir to maintain high DPS and never leave the battle field.

Transfusion: Vladimir drains the lifeforce of his target.

This is your main spell and you should level it as fast as possible. This spell is even more useful when taking this build into account as this spell will heal you for over 200% of what it would normally.

Sanguine Pool: Vladimir sinks into a pool of blood becoming untargetable for 2 seconds. Additionally, enemies on the pool are slowed and Vladimir siphons life from them.

You should put 1 point into this at level 3 and then max it last. It is a great escaping and chasing tool, as it is your only slow spell. I don't recommend using it for damage, just utility as it costs 20% of your current health. You will almost never make that health back with only this spell, so use it wisely.

Tides of Blood: Vladimir unleashes a torrent of blood, damaging surrounding enemies. Additionally, multiple Tides of Blood in a short period of time cause them to cost additional health and deal additional damage, and increases his healing and regeneration by 8%.

This skill is some what under rated, yet its usefulness is drastically increased with this build. It's pretty simple to use really. If you keep using it, you will lose more life each time it is cast, yet at the same time it increases healing effects on you.

Simply cast this spell then Transfusion and repeat. To get to the maximum 4 stacks takes about 12 seconds. Luckily this build allows you to stay in team fights for that long and you will be dealing ridiculous damage if you can pull it off.

Hemoplague: Vladimir infects an area with a virulent plague. Affected enemies take increased damage for the duration. Hemoplague deals additional magic damage after a few seconds to infected enemies.

This ultimate isn't too difficult to use but is pretty great. When engaging in a team fight just cast this as to hit the most people possible. Then start your combo of E, Q, E, Q. It's best to try and use Transfusion on lighter targets for maximum impact. Use Sanguine Pool if you need to, for instance if the enemy targets you, sanguine pool, dip out for a while and then come back in.

You are at your weakest from levels 1-6, as your transfusion is on a fairly long cool down. If you can, take mid as to level up fast. Last hit with Transfusion and try not to get harassed to heavily. I would harass very little at this stage, it's best to act defensively so your enemy underestimates you later.

Once you hit level 7 you should have a considerable number of minion kills (50 average if you are at middle lane) and you can now start harassing with Transfusion (Q). It does considerable damage and is very, very spammable. At level 9 Transfusion will be maxed. Hit your opponent when you can and if they get ambitious and come at you, use your combo of E, Q, E, Q.

One thing to note is Vladamir is designed to be a damage over time Champion, not a burst Champion. This being said if you and your opponent are both on low health there is a high chance they will kill you first. Yet you are Vladamir, simply harassing your opponent gives you health, so this should be a rare situation.

Items: Now for the interesting part, which most of you have probably skipped to.

I like to start with an Amplifying Tomb as it builds into many useful items and helps with your early game somewhat.

You really shouldn't ever need to leave lane once you hit level 9, unless there are several champions pushing your tower and you are on low health.

Either way when you can your item order should be:

Ionian Boots of Lucidity: Cool down reduction is a large component of this build.

Will of the Ancients: Spell Vamp really helps, considering the frequency of all your spells. Not to mention 70 ability power.

Spirit Visage: Health, which is also AP on Vlad. Cool down Reduction and 20% bonus healing affect. This really, really helps.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter: Health, AP and a slow. This item is just so amazing on Vlad.

Rabadon's Deathcap: If the game has lasted this long, it's time to let the enemy team know you mean business.

Your last item is completely situational. If they are stacking MR get a void staff, if they're all caster get a Abyssal Scepter, too much DPS? Zonya's Hourglass. Any of these items will be useful to Vladamir.

Reasoning Behind this Build:

Other builds may look better on paper. Some builds will allow you to get 700AP. Yet these numbers mean nothing if you get gibbed in seconds. This build allows you to stay in the fight and do what Vladamir was designed to do, sustained damage. You do more damage the longer you're in a fight, which is why he shouldn't be played like a burst damage mage.

For instance, with this build a Transfusion will heal yourself for 200HP with only 150AP. Alternatively you will barely be healed for 130 HP if you had 300AP on an alternative build.

Not to mention you will have very, very low cooldowns. Transfusion will be a 2 second cooldown. Tides of Blood will be 3 seconds and Sanguine pool will be 12 seconds. You can almost use your spells as simple auto attacks.

There is almost always minions around in teamfights. If not quickly run to a wrath or wolf camp and start healing yourself. You will easily be able to heal yourself for 1000HP+ at a wraith or wolf camp in about 10 seconds.

Sometimes Teams group up into tight clumps and it is really hard to touch their rolling ball of doom. Not for vlad though, he excels at this. If you are lucky enough to witness this, hit the team with your ulti, run in and spam Tides of Blood when you can, in the meanwhile cast Transfusion on whoever you see fit. Remember Transfusion is now healing you for 200 + 14% with your ulti activated, keeping you in the fray for much longer. If you get your combo off, all the squishies will be dead and the only people left will be tanks. Sanguine pool too escape and laugh as you run.

This is a really fun build. As you get to see a lot of action with it and it's quite good for pub stomping and carrying your team.
