With a smile, Ryth picked up the gold pieces and vanished into the throng of drunken men and (what she assumed to be) prostitutes. Thoughts wheeled in her head as she walked toward the counter, it was not every day that she went on expeditions… in fact, the last time that Ryth had gone on an expedition was when she was still in the Demacian army. How long ago that seems, She thought with a smile, remembering the joys she and her friend had had. As she placed the gold on the counter and ordered a Gragan Ale for herself and her client, she wondered why such memories surfaced. Better now than later. Ryth smiled her thanks towards the barkeeper, picked up the two drinks, and made her way back towards her client.

When she returned to the old man, one eyebrow rose in surprise. The number of people had doubled since she had left. Ryth lightly placed one of the drinks in front of her client, gave him a warm smile, and then sat herself in a chair not too far away from him. She didn’t want to look like she was too interested in the people that he chose, but she couldn’t help being a tad bit curious. The blonde woman slightly leaned in towards her staff as it whispered all the information that it had about the various mercenary’s that had flocked around the old man.

“I swear, Staff, we are going to have to fight to maintain our place,” She whispered as she took another sip from her beverage. “Can you hear what they are saying?” The staff turned on its own until the area where the ear would be was turned towards the old man and the mercenaries surrounding him. It then began to speak in a hushed voice, trying to look as natural as possible.

Scarlet smiled, and spoke in a calm polite manner.

"Well... I may not seem the type, I have served as a maid in the household of a wizard with many enemies for a good decade. I've handled quite a few last minute banquets and a handful of assassins... I've had to perform a variety of errands within and outside the household, allowing me to travel quite a few leagues throughout the land. I've roughed it quite a few times, ensuring my master's every need was tended to. Put it simply, I make my employers' lives, and fellow staff's lives easier." She paused.

"And I'm on vacation without pay... " she sighed slightly, giving a reason for her to look for payment.

"And have I mentioned I am a ... *devilishly* ... good maid?" She tilted her head slightly and smiled at him again. Everything she's said has been fairly serious.

After taking a sip of his tea, Sebastian speaks up as nice as one could be;

"So that means you were fired? I'm sorry my dear girl, that is a sadness I can understand"

Tobias Marteau had noticed the large cluster of people gathering around the old man, and decided to have a closer look. He rose from his stool at the bar, lanky features more levering than moving fluidly, his faded suit shifting as he rose. He dusted his jacket off slightly, adjusting his crimson tie, before turning to walk towards the table of newcomers.

Tobias spoke with a loosely Noxian accent, "Why, hello there, I can't help but notice all the commotion. It would seem that these fellows are offering to travel with you. How do you do? I'm known as Doc M around here, and I was wondering if I could be of service? I've developed a bit of wanderlust in the 7 years I've lived in this area. My skills include being an excellent battlefield medic, skilled in triage and the healing arts. Just ask anyone around, I do make a fairly good family doctor at the very least, though it's been years since I've seen war... I was trained by some of the best."

((I caved Ryth: Tobias's mind is quite the open book, you, as well as most military Noxians would know his full background up to 7ish years ago. You'd know basically everything.))

Lu's eye looked around the tavern a moment his red draconic eye closed. "I can provide a demonstration if you so wish."
"A Summoner!" The man's lifeless eyes lit up for a moment. "That's very interesting. I could definitely use one. Welcome aboard friend. My name is Gregg, Gregg Myrone." He slid some coins across the table, "Enjoy a drink while we wait."

((nice, i see this as an opportunity to develop Dacaltior's story. http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/227 ))

After leaving Demacia forever for his own good and prosperity, Dacaltior Darkflare wandered around Valoran seeking for those who were like him. The cursed ones, those who carry the doom that the dark magic brings with its power. He traveled across many places for warlocks and demonologists just like him.

During his travel, he stepped across a tavern in Kalamanda, with a post on it. Once he finished reading it a thought came to his head: Runes are always useful, and i could use those gems for buying a place to stay... or any other thing i may need later., he entered the tavern, and saw the paranoic man and approached him, introducing himself.

"My name is Dacaltior Darkflare. People tend to call me The Dark Vizier. Former chief of the Demacian Shadow Council, now an outcast warlock that wanders around Valoran. For a payment, my services as a warlock are completely yours. I may not have an army, or have healing capacities, but i can server as your bodyguard in all my dark, but effective ways of combat.", Dacaltior said as he bowed. Since he left all his former life in Demacia, he has been wandering around to build a new reputation: He was not the dark-ish political figure in that city-state, he's now just a warlock. A cursed one.

"Also, may i have a brief explaination of what are we doing? Venturing into the Great Barrier and beyond is not something people do everyday.", he finished as he sat alongside the man, almost ignoring the others' presence.

"Yes Mr. Myrone, that man is an excellent summoner. He's also quite powerful considering his problems with being anonymous" Sebastian chuckled, hoping his joke went over well with the Summoner. He didn't really care though; he could take him with ease if he desired. Still, rather have a laugh then take out the trash.

"My services are still up on the table Mr. Myrone, or is another test of my skill in order?" Sebastian said, as politly as he could. Showmanship was part of being a mercenary as well as skills in combat.

"Although, I do have to agree with the Dark Vizier. Why exactly do you wish to travel to such a distant land? It's not what you would call "average" to say the least"
