I've finally downloaded the new patch (the one with renekton) and as it copies the files at 3% I receive an error message.

The launcher has experienced an error. Please restart this application.

I have, many times. With the same message, would anyone tip me on how to fix?

Oh and when I close the application for some odd reason Internet Explorer tries to run the launcher. It pops up as a small window in IE right after exiting the error message.

I have seen this a few times on some of my other machines. The only fix that I was able to figure out is to uninstall and reinstall the game with the most recent installer.

I know this sucks but the install is not that bad.

I've had a similar thing before. A reinstall the general fix for it. Uninstall LoL then delete the directory and install fresh from new downloaded installer.
