While, it's possible to win without Jungling, just as it's possible to win 4 vs 5, is the advantage gained from jungling so great that you disadvantage your team if you don't have a jungler?

Discuss.

EDIT: Also, do you think this is how the game should be? That jungling should be required, or not required?

if you don't have a jungler in competitive play you are probably screwed so yes it is a requirement

Sure it's possible to win without a jungler, but assuming all else is played to perfection, the only way to make up for the disadvantage is for your duo lane to fully deny their solo lane.

The current metagame highly prioritizes Dragon and early ganks. Junglers make sure those two things happen, or at least more likely to happen.

So I would say, yes, jungling is very important. If your jungler is good you get...

1.) occassional ganks from the jungler to help your laning phase and get you kills/assists. More gold for you, less exp for the dead person.

2.) two solo lanes means two carries with more farm and exp. This is especially important.

3.) Dragon is a major part. 190 gold and some exp.

The only advantage that I see with not having a jungler is that if your laning champs are strong, they are likely to take a tower early and still get kills and deny the opponent exp. I don't know though.

like skunk said

if you aren't going to jungle it should be because you have a strategy better than jungling, like **** their solo or deny buffs or something

you better make sure the 2v1 destroys and make sure you ward your jungle so that their jungler can't jungle it
