I just played a game where eve was not listed in the roster, so she wasn't banned as we wanted.

Then their first pick is eve.

How did that happen?

Wouldnt this end up hurting those that unlocked more champions?

You would essentially be making people waste bans on champions that nobody was going to play, while increasing the likelihood that your specific champ would be lost in the sea of other champions.

Also, this rarely should matter because the bans are almost always the same in ranked anyways. The only issue I could see is if you had a 5 man premade that all owned the same 14 champions, which would be dumb to play ranked with anyways.

Considering this is the first thread on this subject in months, my guess is it's not a big concern.

Oh well. Moving along...

This wouldn't be the first time I've heard of it happening, and I'm pretty sure Statikk is looking for some people who've seen this happen to them.

Perhaps submit your logs to the bugs forum?

Good players have most champions unlocked, and know most of them at the very least on a decent level.

Simple remedy. Assuming you're level 30 and able to do "Draft Mode", make sure the only 4 champions you own aren't Pantheon, Rammus, Evelynn, and Amumu.

Assuming you're level 30 and can do "Draft Mode", if you have a problem with it, DO NOT play Draft Mode. You have other options.

There's another option. If this game matters to you so much, go get a job and buy Riot points. :-|

You can always buy with IP the cheapest most banable champs to bait the bans though, like tanks, Ranked hate tanks, so as long as you get Rammus, Shen, Ammumu and Malph you can draw a lot of attention to them and get away with your best champion.

first, draft mode is made for high level competitive play. It just doesn't make much sense at lower levels of play. At level 30, i'd hope you have a decent number of champs unlocked O.o. It's a mode that isn't meant to work well for people that don't have many heroes unlocked. I mean think about it, ban's don't make sense either way if there is an imbalance of number of heroes availible on each side. it's also meant to be strategic, and there will always be a disadvantage if someone only has 5 heroes unlocked.

+1 for a constructive post, but I disagree!

My reasoning is that changing the draft banning would make it so that having many champions unlocked would still be helpful in draft mode, more so than in normal; but it wouldn't lead to players with less champions to have the double-punishment of having their smaller amount of champions be banned at a greater rate percentage wise.

P.S. Not sure why everyone thinks they have to thumbs down every post they disagree with.

Good players have a variety of champions unlocked, not necessarily most.

If you have, say, two dps, two burst mages, a tank, and a support that you can play well, then you're in a pretty good place.

I didn't notice this during play. But, I have to agree with the way it is implemented. Sorry, OP, but having a greater array of champions should be rewarded. And, banning a champion that is not even available to the opposing team is not fair to them. So...you want to have ghost banning, which would be rewarding pre-made teams who only buy their minimum champs and keep playing them over and over.
