Holy **** yes, that'd be amazing. Living Crystal armor for him (or pockets of living gem crystal on regular armor) would be sweet.

Alternatively, maybe some kind of compromise on the shield + a kit change?

Shatter explodes his giant shield made of crystal, and gives him x seconds of increased attack speed while his aura/shield is down. Without the shield, he's able to swing his hammer with both hands.

Policy now is to widely solicit art from anyone in the Art Department who's passionate about an upcoming VU and submit a concept. There's a few upcoming VU's that were taken on by artists outside the Relaunch team. We all collectively give feedback and collectively decide on the way forward with the design. It's a pretty badass system actually that creates more stylistic consistency and helps distribute the workload of the massive backlog.

So, despite me being the designated Relaunch concept artist, I prefer whoever wants to take the champion to finish is the person who ultimately does the final design based on the group's consensus.

I think it's a great idea to make growing buckler, but I wouldn't make things so lively as Lissandra's animation. If anything, I'd think more solid look would be better fitting.
What I mean, I like the idea of growing shield (with armor or skill level) but I think giving too much of "Lissandra-tech" would ruin knight theme. My "feeling" why it would ruin it is flesh-metal comparision - you'd rather hit moving flesh than SOLID piece of metal (dunno how to express it better, but it's just feeling that I have over years of playing games).
I think the most fitting parts for applying that "Lissandra-tech" would be when armor/skill level ups or when Taric uses Shatter and regenerates after cooldown, but with very slow movement.
