Perhaps we can have baron have a clue new glowing purple particle, like a purple super saiyan aura or purple electricity. Even for some of the older players (Been playing since early season 1 and only recently found about the ad debuff) the new random particle will bring questions which will be answered by clicking baron and checking his new self buff.

I just want it clearer for both old AND new players to understand the damage debuff

This looks like a nerf to Wriggle's/Madred's in regards to Baron control. Is this intended, or will it be addressed in some way?

IMO Baron seems easier to do now and it was already fairly easy. Honestly, I think that Baron should be even harder than it is now. And it should be even harder to take down as one person as opposed to being grouped.

The purpose of the Attack Damage was to encourage rotation based play and tank based play but the game has changed and now we have powerful sustained magic damage dealers that can both tank and deal damage.. so... it made sense to update to all damage types rather than just shredding Attack Damage.

There's a little bit of a gameplay difference with regards to what happens when you get ambushed at Baron - but Baron doesn't necessarily need to be more swingy when you get ambushed.


...are you necessarily sure this is a good idea? Baron Nashor has been one of the very few things that keeps a high-level match from being inevitable by the 15 minute point. The emphasis on the high-risk nature of Baron's high-risk/high-reward ratio maintains the one thing that keeps the game from being an exercise in frustration for a losing team for the last ten minutes of a match: the element of hope.

The Baron's stats, debuffs and spells clearly need to be on display within the client. We have the summoner spell tab (with Ali showing how each and every one works), why not Baron and Dragon?

I think changes to Baron are not what people should be thinking right now. Its purpose is being served: when ahead use it to close games, or use it when behind for a glorious comeback.
I don't think it should be "first one gets baron wins".

Regarding its MR debuff:
Taking baron should always be a risk. The defense debuff helps with that, but his tankyness means that you need either your entire team or special "Baron destroyers" to get it quickly. If the stats were to be changed I think Baron should deal tons of damage, and even deal % more damage for each teammate absent, and reduce its durability instead. This would reduce the effectiveness of "Baron Destroyers", since they will always need help from their teammates.This also means that if you have a small window of opportunity you will be able to take it relatively quickly with the help of your entire team. Baron fights will be extremely exciting to watch/play due to the stacking defense debuff. If the enemy team finds you doing dragon, and engages, you're dead for sure (unless you're nunu, then just consume+smite Baron and Absolute Zero their asses!). To make it REALLY exciting you can make it so that it deals more damage while taking less damage based on % of his missing health. Making drawn-out Baron fights really scary! (but that's mostly silly-talk).

tl;dr We need accessible info on Baron in-client. Baron should deal more damage to fewer targets, less damage to an entire team; but make said team vulnerable to an all-in engage from the enemy team.

This is awesome because if magic based damage is weakened near the end of the fight, then it makes it so much riskier to steal Baron. If you think about it, most steals are done by AP damage. Usually a skill shot or an AOE. Otherwise its done by a smite. This adds so much risk if AD champions are better near the end because an ADC would be so focused whilst trying to steal. Tricky tricky~
