Listen, there have been countless very informative must read threads on ensuring that you do your part in calling out MIA's and map hacking with wards to prevent ganks and to counter gank/steal buffs etc... so I'm not going to go into that....The point I want to make and irks me the most is when one of your turrets go down, THE LANING PHASE IS OVER AND EXPECT the enemies from the other team to push YOUR lane...

Laning Phase - what is a laning phase? It is NOT a pre-determined time frame (0 minutes to "X" minutes). It is NOT a pre-determined level (when champions reach level "Y&quot A laning phase is simply the time frame where standard 1v1, 2v2, 2v1 (when one team has a jungler) interaction takes place.

The laning phase ENDS when one of two situations occur:

A. A turret goes down (either side).
B. Your team or the enemy team decides to "group up" and push a lane

Why "A" above? Simple...once a turret goes down, one of three actions will take place:

1. The lane will continue to be pushed (this is rare, but hey, you can see this on the mini-map and rest assured, action 2 and or 3 below will quickly come so be alert!)
2. The lane will move to other lanes to gank/help push
3. The lane will go back to fountain, get items, may get buffs and THEN move to other lanes to gank/help push

You have awareness on all three by use of the mini map. USE IT. I get sick and tired of teammates getting killed and complaining that noone called MIA after a friendly turret goes down like they live in a little vacuum...there are THREE ways to know a turret is gone and you need to react accordingly:

1. It pops up a message on screen saying you lost a turret (if blind see 2 (irony))
2. There's a voice that says you lost a turret (if deaf see 1)
3. The mini map shows that you lost a turret and shows you if the enemy(ies) are still there!

tl:dr ONCE A TURRET IS LOST ON EITHER SIDE, ASSUME THE LANING PHASE IS OVER! That IS your MIA call!

Hence, if you lost your lane or took down the turret, be prepared to help out other lanes or to push other lanes....for goodness sake, don't go back to your lane leaving your teammates undermanned and easy kills unless you see the enemy back in your original lane..

Wards are awesome except when you click too many times and use two in one spot
