2009 MacBook Pro crash when using NVIDIA video card

When I set my system from better battery life to better performance (which turns on my nvidia video card) and play LoL the game freezes, i've tried it in windowed and borderless mode... not full screen but I have a feeling it will still happen. when it happens I can't leave the program to end the task and have to power down my system. So I end up having to play with Better Battery Life but I find the game starts lagging if too much is happening so I'd like to get it working with the video card.I've tried to see if I can find anyone else having this issue but failed...

Can you post your system specs and a game log from when the game freezes?

Also, try fullscreen, and try a smc reset.
