Ashe mid v Pantheon?

Simple question. Tips or guides to taking on a mid pantheon as Ashe, or as other ranges like Twitch? Pointless to harass because of his shield, expensive to spam volley and dangerous to go in to shoot because of the jump/HS Strike/Spear. I have no problem facing him as Miss Fortune or a few others, but my Ashe there is struggling.

More constructive than 'don't mid as Ashe versus Pantheon', please.

Autoattack once to remove shield, volley, retreat.

If you're going to harrass, that would probably be the best way to go about it. Not much else you'd be able to do.

Problem here is that at start lots of Panths buy boots, so they move faster than you. You advance to take down the shield, and you do, but he leap-stuns, HS and spear and then runs. In all that time you've lost a lot more HP than him.

You might say, well attack him now that he's spent his combo. But you've lost 1/3 to 1/2 HP, and at the first 5 levels Ashe has very limited DPS. Sure you can volley for an extra burst, but it's going to be 12-20 second CD.

Well he's a counter carry. As long as you don't feed him and manage to farm as much as you can, you'll be ok. If he doesn't manage to kill you or deny you off a lot of exp and gold then your team has the advantage.

I play pantheon specifically to counter a ranged squishy mid. Hes really good at it if you max spear first. Spear > Stun > Attack > Spear is a vicious combo at lvl 3. Throw in some defensive masteries and mana regen runes and its gg.

And so you make sure that if he comes to do his combo, he takes minion aggro in the process. You can also chain snare him as he retreats back to his side of the lane.

Push come to shove, you simply have to play defensively. Once you hit level 6 you can kill him if you were able to harrass him at all, and failing that you can set up a gank with your jungler's help, if you have one.

Start always with Boots and 2x health 1x mana pot. Q is your first ability you should be learning at level 1 simple because it has a longer ranged than volley does. Every time panth attacks a minion you should be running forward, activating Q and hitting him once, or chase him back to his Tower by using Q continusly. Really it works for anyone mid against Ashe.

Ashe's autoattack range is 700, and volley is 1200.

Q also doesn't deal any additional damage either, so at low levels pantheon is just going to try and kill you, and before you're geared up, he's likely to succeed - at level 1 he'll have spear and his passive, and you'll have an autoattack and a snare that's too weak to kite with, and you're recommending going to the lane without the doran's too.

At level 2, 3 and 4, Pantheon will add his leap and heartseeker and poking him is liable to unleash the combo. The range on both spear and leap is 600, so you can theoretically poke him and get away safely, but every time you do, you deal autoattack damage only if his passive is not up, and you risk taking his full combo.

Poking with autoattacks can be effective, but it's risky too. Pantheon is supposed to dominate Ashe early, and often remains embarrassingly difficult for her 1v1 throughout the game.

That's ok, though - Ashe is a team oriented carry. the people who say "just farm and wait" have the right idea.

@OP - if you're struggling against Pantheon mid, I'd heartily recommend starting with a doran's shield and buying plenty of healing pots. Just try to farm as much as you can safely (ideally under your tower), and don't be afraid to ask for support from your teammates either, especially the jungler.

Against a Pantheon with comparable skills to your own, you'll only be able to beat or kill him if he lets you. He might (probably will), but don't expect it, just watch for it. He shouldn't be able to shut down your farm though unless you push away from your tower.

Yep, farm and wait. A good Pantheon can crush you as Ashe like with a lot of squishy ranged carries (not all of them though). Use Volley to get last hits if you have to, you can always buy mana pots if needed. Let him push to the tower and last hit there.

Late game Pantheon isn't good so just survive to kill him repeatedly in a half hour.
