Vladimir: Vlad is know to be one of the most OP champions ever brought into the game, but he also has one of the most atrocious early games. This is your best bet to get him behind and keep him behind so he doesn't destroy your team mid-game (where he excels). Punish him for farming, if you're ranged against him and he just used Transfusion to kill a minion, rush him and punish him since he'll likely only have Tides of Blood to fight back. Any champion with a good Silence/Stun burst combo counter Vlad 100% of the game. i.e Kassadin and Sion

Pantheon: Even though Panth can easily burst a whole team down if he's fed enough, it doesn't take much at all to bring him down. If you have a rather CC heavy team and are against a Pantheon, focus him with your CC and burst him down before he can combo anyone. Not many Pantheons build as a tanky dps and will most likely be glass cannons that are easily broken.

Akali: Akali is a slippery champion that's often hard to catch and even harder to bring down. She, just like Pantheon, is very susceptible to quick and heavy CC. Catch her out in the open not hiding in her Shroud stun her and unload, and don't forget just like any other stealth champion bring your Oracles and it's feeding time.

Can anyone do Karma? She likes to survive and get away scot-free.

Veigar needs update... It's almost half of the year since his ult has changed and now deals damage according to enemy's AP, not mana.

The nunu guide is neglecting nunu's best capability, witch is jungling. With consume he can easily drop blue buff with over half health, and once he hits lvl 4 his ability to gank with ice blast and blood boil is one of the best of any champion. The key to countering nunu early is very much like any other Jungler. BUY WARDS. A great way to tell a good player from a piss poor one by if they have wards. On every trip back to base, pick up a ward. A single ward will do well to keep you from getting ganked. Mid to let game, make sure to coordinate who will use their CC on Nunu when he pops absolute zero, because the biggest problem is when he activates his Ult, everyone rushes thier CC onto him, and the team fight is essentially lost. A last point for nunu is STACK MAGIC RES. nunu has two serious nuke spells, and even a negatron or a BV can go a very long way

Poppy: Poppy is probably the worst farmer in the game next to Shen or Alistar. Don't be scared to harass her in the laning phase since the most she could do to retaliate is Heroic Charge + Devastating Blow you, which will probably end up with her taking more damage than she deals to you, especially pre-level 6. As a result of her atrocious farm, she gets most of her money off of kills, so if you play it safe against her, she'll be hard-pressed to come back later on. Additionally, the entire character revolves around dumping her entire load on you and then being useless for a bit. Investing in an early defensive item will minimize her impact throughout the game. Banshees Veil is an especially effective counter since she'll need a teammate to get rid of it before she can go after you. And most of all, please don't stand next to walls if you can help it.

Akali:

Slow down her build by ganking her during the early game. She has very little in the way of actual escape abilities, and the only way she can survive getting double-teamed pre-level 6 is by tossing down a Twilight Shroud and juking her pursuers. In that vein, pick up a vision ward and slap it down in the middle of her shroud. You get 400 gold (+ assist gold for your teammate) for the cost of 125 gold. This continues to work later on, as Akali relies heavily on her shroud to survive deep inside the enemy team during teamfights, but it's most effective during the laning phase.

If ganking her after level 6, try to avoid fighting her behind your own minion lines, or try to keep some distance between her and your minions. If she's within range, she'll just jump past you to your minions, then run away scot free.

CC is often her worst enemy, if you can catch her with a stun/silence before she can shroud or after she's already burned it, then she has almost no viable escape. Roots and snares are unfortunately less effective due to the fact that she's still able to drop her shroud during them.

Make sure that you do not engage an Akali if you are alone and do not have either high damage output or high amounts of health. The amount of damage she will do to you will very likely get you killed in a 1v1 situation, especially if you do not have a vision ward/oracles to counter her shroud.

Shaco:

His entire Reportiore revolves around trickery... Oracle's Elixir will pretty much squash his Decieve ability, which does massive Crit. It lasts until you die, plus, it's only 400 gold. If you vs Shaco, just hunker down and get it.
