Greetings Summoners,

We've seen a couple reports of an issue that appears on Macs when multiple pings come up on the minimap at once. However, we're having trouble pinning down the exact cause.

1) Have you experienced this bug?
2) How often to experience this bug? Every other game?
3) What version of Mac OSX do you have?
4) What video card do you have? (About This Mac -> More Info)
5) Do you notice this bug being tied to any other behaviors while the pings are happening?
NEW Mar 30:
6) Are you running through iLoL or the official installer located on our site?
6a) If running iLoL are you running in native or Wine mode?
7) Are you experiencing on PBE, LIVE or BOTH?

Thanks!

I am unable to reproduce this bug.

I've tried spamming each of the 6 ping types, both separately and intermixing them, using both keybinds and the radial menu, on both the minimap and directly on the game environment. I've tried it on multiple champions, multiple maps, in coop-vs-ai games and in custom games, and even during full 5v5 teamfights.

I've also played at least 50 games with the mac client since it hit open beta, and I've yet to encounter this bug even by accident.

System Specs:

Model iMac 27-inch, Late 2009
Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB
Software OS X 10.8.3 (12D78)

Update:
I am running the official mac client, and I tested on both the Live server and on the PBE.

I am unable to reproduce this bug

I used different pings constantly in the same location and nothing happened. I've tried to use it on 10 different champions and still unable to reproduce this bug. I've also tried it in almost every gametype and still unable to reproduce it.

I've played several (10 ~ 15) games on the Mac client since it was released, and have not encountered this bug.

Specs:

Model: MacBook Pro 13-inch, Early 2011
Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Software: Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)

I may have been able to produce this bug, but was unable to reproduce it.

Steps:
1. Started a game on the Summoners Rift Map.
2. Selected Zed.
3. Went bot lane and started spamming different pings as I ran. Crashed without bugsplat.
4. Reconnected
5. Opened Smart Ping menu. Crashed again without bugsplat.

I was unable to reproduce the crash after that.

Specs:

Model: MacBook Pro, 15-inch, Mid 2009
Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
Software: OS X 10.6.8

1. I have experienced this bug often.
2. Pretty much every time that I try to use smart ping.
3. 10.8.2
4. NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
5. I think its mainly when I try to use the smart ping more than once in a row. I've tried to avoid pinging.

Ok I've copied and pasted the actual bug report I got into a word document, if you could tell what happened from that.

or just hit command - a few times to zoom back. use command + to zoom in once you're done.
that thread isn't available for me, sorry.

as for the topic: i, too, am unable to reproduce this bug.
pings have been very interesting to me due to the left click-unbind bug i've reported a while ago, but other than that i've never managed to crash my client due to overpinging, or experienced this bug in any of the games i've played. i lost count of them, but they could very likely be way over a hundred.
