Slow Load/Patch Times - SSD

I know this might not be a bug, and it might even be silly to complain about, but I have strangely slow patch and game-load times.

I have a 256GB SSD, and I often patch slower than my friends with MacBooks on a university network in otherwise identical conditions. I also have a prolonged black screen at the start of a game load, and by the time portraits appear, some people are already halfway done. I don't mean this post to be whiny, I just wonder if perhaps somehow the client is not making use of all available resources.

I don't expect this to ever be resolved, but perhaps it's a legitimate issue ^_^

Thanks in advance.

I get the same loading problem. It takes absolutely forever to load while all those people with shiny new Windows load in milliseconds. Here I thought it was just because it was my high ping (250) + old Mac graphics card (i.e. before they changed them back in 2010)

Actually, maybe it's to do with the fact that we're using laptops...wonder if one gets the same problem on an iMac.
