Akali really needs a nerf

Since the recent changes to her passive, shes been really strong early and continues to get strong. Previously her passive required her to get some farm in before being able to be active.


Now. She needs a complete overhaul of nerfs. From AP ratios to R CD to Ranges of abilities.

Passive:
DISCIPLINE OF FORCE: Akali's auto attacks deal 6% (+ 1% per 6 AP) bonus magic damage.
DISCIPLINE OF MIGHT: Akali gains 6% (+ 1% per 6 bonus AD) spell vamp.

Should be changed to every 10-50 AD/AP. She should have to farm to feel these effects. Not be able to get these effects level 1. That was what kept her from being too OP pre buff. Now she's ever more unstoppable level 6.

Her Q.

Q-ACTIVE: Akali throws her kama at a target enemy, dealing magic damage and marking the target for 6 seconds. Akali's basic attacks or Crescent Slashes against a marked target will consume the mark, dealing the same damage again and restoring energy to Akali.
MAGIC DAMAGE FIRST HIT: 45 / 70 / 95 / 120 / 145 (+ 40% AP)
TOTAL MAGIC DAMAGE: 90 / 140 / 190 / 240 / 290 (+ 80% AP)
ENERGY RESTORED: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40

This on it's own can instant kill the ADC. Akali is given a free win unless the entire enemy team builds pure health and MR. Sacrificing much needed damage. Alongside, this ability allows Akali to rush a Warmongs or a Sunfire. Since it gives her all the damage she will need till late game. Dropping the magic damage to 40-60-85-100-130 might help a bit. But she may need a bit more of a nerf since it also does double that damage if she basic attacks.

W-ACTIVE: Akali creates a smoke cloud in the target 600-diameter area for 8 seconds. While within the cloud, Akali is granted stealth, and bonus armor and magic resistance. Attacking or using abilities reveals her for 0.5 seconds. Enemies inside the smoke suffer slowed movement.

ARMOR, MAGIC RESISTANCE: 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50
SLOW: 14% / 18% / 22% / 26% / 30%

First off. Reduce the bonus MR/Ar. to 5-10-20-30-50. Just at earlier levels. Most people don't max this out till level 18 anyway. But that 10% increase at level 1 is a bit much for her. She's a bruster not a tank. Also increasing her Reveal to 1 sec gives her more of a life and death choice. This isn't much of a nerf but it may help to balancing her out.

I'm not even gonna bother with her W. It's currently fine the way it is.


R- ACTIVE: Akali uses an Essence of Shadow, dashing to and dealing magic damage to a target enemy. Akali gains an Essence of Shadow periodically, affected by cooldown reduction, up to a maximum of 3. Additionally, Akali gains an Essence of Shadow for each kill or assist she obtains.

NEW ESSENCE OF SHADOW: 25 / 20 / 15
MAGIC DAMAGE: 100 / 175 / 250 (+ 50% AP)

First. Remove her Gain of Essence of Shadow for kills and Assist. She earns enough from the 3 she gets every 20. seconds. Yes, also changing the New essence to 30-25-20 and reducing magic damage to 90-180-250 at level 1. This is to attempt to stop her oversnowballing. But increasing her level 3 might be needed to counter her Q nerfs.


And legit opinions do give. Any other way to re-balance her is also good to hear. But no she is not fine where she is now. She was really never fine and she's been needing fixes for some time. Hopefully with S3 we can see her be placed into a snug area rather then her own Super Penta isntant win Hyper carry area.


TLDR;
Passive needs to be nerfed.
Q needs an early game damage reduction
W needs Reveal to last 1 sec over .5
E is Fine
R needs a higher CD.

Yes but she's designed to Assassinate . Not DEMOLISH THE **** TANK. Her damage output is way to high early levels and it doesn't get any better later on.

You do know most Akali's don't bother with the Shroud. Since they do so much damage they can easily take out the ADC, Support, then walk away with half health.

This thread is new and interesting. On a serious note, Akali is strong against some champs, weak against others. There is a lot of opportunity for counter play. This is often referred to as balanced. See an Akali? Grab Lee Sin, or Swain, or countless other champs. She isn't that strong. She can get that strong if you make mistakes and she picks up early kills.

holy **** thats a TL,DR ... but no, akali doesn't need nerfs, she just got some on both her passives, actually. Anyways, if you let her snowball on you and don't get to late-game, sure, she's strong. But that's your fault.

she's a little weak in the HP-stacking meta, if you ask me, like most other burst assassins.

You can't smart position someone with 4 flashes that can turret dive since she builds tank.
