Anyone tried it? whats the build order? Something like
I was thinking of fooling around with it mid.

Something like Zerkers, Lissandras Tears, Seraphs Embrace, Malady, Nashors....

This became less appealing when I realized that ashe's Q doesn't proc liandras, W and R do, but now Q alone

Noo, this is a terrible awful idea.

Back in Season 2, AS/onhit Kog was kind of viable. He had that huge onhit damage already so AS boosted his damage quickly and efficiently. The rest of his kit was magical so it worked great with malady shred and Mpen.
However, the loss of LIFESTEAL, harder last hitting, and the fact that continuous autoattacks are rare in laning made it not very good, despite the better DPS output.

Fast forward to Season 3:
AD is cheaper.
AS is more expensive.
Bloodrazor is gone. BotRK is kind of an AD/onhit hybrid.
OnHit items are heavily nerfed (wits end, malady), or removed (ionic doodad)

So an AS/onhit Kog Maw would be a bad choice in Season 3, even with his huge onhit damage. An ASHE that doesnt have this damage, has an autocrit, and volley that scales on AD would be a terrible awful choice.
