I can't run the installer/downloader
After several days of trying I think I need a little help.

I'm using Windows 8 PRO (64 bits)
4 GB ram
ATI Mobility Radeon 4500 series
Intel Core i3 2.40 GHZ

In the past, when I had Windows 7 I could not only play League of legends but play it with everything in max and with 40 FPS.

I can't run the installer (the one were you start downloading) leagueoflegends.exe
Nothing happens, it seems to work for a few seconds and then... nothing.

I have run it like admin, in compatibility mode (with W7, XP SP3). Nothing changed.
Multiple reboots, nothing.
I have shutdown my firewall and antivirus programs and nothing changes....

Please, don't give anything for given.


What could I do to solve this problem?
(My friend can play LoL in W8)

Do you have Pando Media Booster installed?

Or .netFramework?

I don't have Panda installed, I don't know were to download it.

Windows 8 has Framework, I tried installing Framework 3.5, 4, 4.5, and every time I tried I got a message stating "Windows 8 has already this Framework", or something like that.

I know things like these can be frustrating, I can relate. Hell, I even bought a new laptop just to play LoL on, and got a supposed error while patching.

I'm really no good with these kind of things. I would suggest sending a ticket here: https://support.leagueoflegends.com/...s_requests/new

A specialist should get to you. This is the method I have to rely on, unfortunately.

Do you know if I could play the game if a friend passed me everything in C:\Riot Games ?
