manamune ...always manamune.

Now before you stop reading, the "active bufff that can be toggle" far surpasses anything archangels can do.

No im not talking about the base AD it gives or the base AD by % of maan it gives, im talking about that delicious toggle that ADDS flat damage to your SPELLS based on your total mana...which your spells obviously scale from mana to begin with.

Going manamune, RoA x 2, frozen heart, banshee's, just the toggle gives like 218-240 extra dmg on Q and W, that is excluding the ap raising it and the total mana raising it, just one Q+W can do 1,000+

Q>E>Q>W someone is literally dead in 2seconds top.

at which point if the enmy team only has 1 ap you dont even need banshees, he's a non factor blow him up instantly, that leaves you with a spot for an abyss for the raw magic pen since your E shreds alot, unless they have 120-140mr or more, then get a void.

Now what a lot of mages forget to do is auto atatck between cooldowns, manamune alone makes you auto atk for easily 280-340dmg, with a q and w that hits for 600+ before mitigation....

id take that any day over having a shield, manamune will literally double your Q and W damage if not more.

Iceborn Gauntlet + Blue Elixar > Frozen heart, IMO

It depends, often I prefer a fheart and lichbane as my sheen item. Sheen, by the way, being a great early-game rush for Ryze (think of the stats on it) Iceborn can work ok, but it's not absolutely necessary and provides a lot less tanky utility than fheart's ever-important aura.

If you're ahead get both. Tear->RoA-> you find out your tear is already stacked, turn it to a Manamune and then make another tear for an Archangels later. If you are stacking slower or need D more quickly, then just make the manamune. The amount of damage it's active adds to your Q and W are far more than what you'll get from a combo with an Archangels

Frozen Heart. With that and masteries you'll have enough CDR that you should be able to chain 5-9 spells together based off how much time you have in the fight to get your rotation perfect or if you need to fire off some spells and run. Either way you shouldn't be auto-attacking once you have the CDR from FH so the Gauntlet is wasted on you. Leave that to tanky melee casters such as Cho/Moak/Naut

frozen heart, better armor which you need,
you dont need the extra 120auto atk damage, that wont help you kill faster you dont have enough survivability to be in the thick of it.

being able to survive so you can constantly chain spells that already do 500+dmg per spell, is what will make or break you,

honestly the 'eHP' frozen heart gives you compared to iceborn gauntlet is like 46% more and thats huuuuuuuge, and i said 'eHP' dont get ahead of yourself and think i meant 46% more mitigation.

frozen heart is not only good for the armor....the reduction to their attack speed is a double wammy nerf bat to their dmg,...95armor reduces the damage you take by a ****load....ALSO reducing their attack speed ontop of that reduced your damage intake immensely.
