apparently it's sanctioned but only deep underground, and of all nations on the UN the only countries that never signed the treaty were france china and North Korea, so there you go.

So recently North Korea detonated a nuke inside THEIR territory, in retaliation to the ongoing UN sanctions. The United Nations denounced North Korea YET AGAIN. What is their problem? America has 5000+ nukes, Russia has 1000+, China has 400, UK, France, India, and possibly Israel share the rest; so what is their justification for possessing weapons of mass destruction? Why does the international community apply double standards on North Korea?

because once you have nukes, other countries don't **** with you.

North Korea doesn't need nuclear weapons to destroy South Korea, they have enough conventional weaponry to do it. The main threat to North Korea has always been the United States.

The main threat to North Korea is that it is a failed state built on failed ideals lead by a failure of a dynasty.

Isn't it more that they blew one up, and are by no means on friendly terms with the rest of the world?

they are on friendly terms with China, at least China can hold back North Korea to some extent.

China is lenient on NK only because they don't want to deal with the inevitable refugee exodus that will happen when NK collapses.
