Looking to buy a good gaming headset, current one leaves a bit to be desired.

I'd prefer something wireless and ideally it would also be compatible with Xbox360, but it doesn't have to be if the price is right.

I'll probably spend up to $300.

Any suggestions or even leads to a good website or two that could help me out? Favorite brands perhaps?

edit: dammit mods, why you move my thread. This was LoL related, i need a slick gaming headset for LoL

Pretty sure you can't go wrong with Astros.

Read reviews and look around though. I was considering a Turtle Beach headset, but after seeing so many reviews on poor build quality I just ignored Turtle Beach entirely.

Don't buy ****ty gaymen headsets. Especially with that kind of budget.

edit: buy an astro mixamp and a pair of high quality headphones. Any mic works well, I recommend this one http://www.modmic.com/.

I won't recommend what to buy, but I will recommend what NOT to buy.

And that's any Turtle beach stereo headset.

They give out a constant white noise that I have never gotten used to in the year and a half that I've owned them.

I thought they were broken to begin with, but the white noise is a built in 'feature' that lets you know that the headset is on.

It is ****ing annoying as hell, and there is no way to get rid of it.

Astro a50s. They'll run you anywhere from 250-300 dollars or so, wireless, compatible with all systems and god damn do they work amazingly.
