I thought the RL Effect was where you get a teammate killed and then deny it for 13 years.

No, you blame the jungler.

This is where I have been screwing up, thanks for helping me realize it.

here's a tip to increase your win percentage in ranked.

say to your team during champ select that if you win that game, you'll get promoted to X division.

i've won 7/8 games so far when i've said this. it gives your teammates an extra purpose - on top of their own personal desire to gain LP - to win.

just try it.

The chance of this occurring is 8 * 0.5^8 ~ 3.1%

Unfortunately, that assumes your chance of winning is 0.5. If you can give a more accurate chance of winning, we can figure out if this is statistically significant or not.

itt: everyone blames trolls for their poor results, not their own mistakes

No one makes mistakes. Everyone is perfect. But somewhere, there's a troll witch doctor placing a curse on their hands that causes them to engage the enemy in a 1v5.

you can't calculate the effect psychological motivation has on a game. some people react differently to it than others.

i'm not even coming here to say that it's guaranteed to work anyway. its just a suggestion.
