If u wanna carry as support, play an aggressive, initiating support. Blitz, Ali, Leona, or Taric. Win your lane super hard and snowball the ADC, then you can even roam to middle or help counter jungle and win those areas as well.

Depends on the support, if your an initiating support that ENABLES aggression and kills, such as Leona, you can carry by getting your team what they otherwise would not have. This however requires that your team reacts the way you need them to, and takes advantage of the opportunities you present them. It's difficult to do, but you can turn a game around.

You grab them, put them on your back and...run!

The correct answer is, drop Janna, pick up Lulu. So much better.
Edit: Shen'd

A good Janna is far superior to a good Lulu, so much more versatility if they actually know what they are doing

carrying as support is easy if you're actually good at support.

From my personal experience as a support, a bad player is always going to be a bad player. With that said, it doesn't mean you can't make them seem better. Communication does wonders, if your adc is doing something wrong, give him advice. Once he knows what you're doing for him, if you make an opportunity he'll take it. Also, ESPECIALLY if you have a bad adc, don't limit yourself to bot. Shaco is stealing red? Send a ping and go help out your jungler. Mid keeps overextending and your jungler is busy? Go drop a taric stun for the free assist.

Supports that can "Make their adc better":
Taric
Fiddlesticks
Leona
Blitzcrank
Janna

These supports all have high initiation or disengaging ability that can be used to make up for the Adc's mistakes. (I personally recommend Taric and Leona if it's a common problem you're having.)

This right here, is what you need to be a carry support.

Good support play can get your AD carry fed early and snowball hard.
After he/she is fed, he/she will at least be a threat to the enemy team. It won't be hard for the adc to be useful even if he's bad but fed, just right click.

no one player ever carrys a game tho many players like to think they do =p

imo you need at least some semi intelligent team mates to win no matter the role

You don't. You let the weight of your team crumble upon themselves and do things to end the misery as soon as possible.
