Curious if this is expected.

Here is my match history and corresponding LP affect since 3.01.

(win) gain 20 LP
(loss) lose 20 LP
(win) gain 20 LP
(loss) lose 20 LP
(loss) drop division, down to 50 LP - so basically lose 50 LP and a promotion series
(win) gain 15 LP
(loss) lose 25 LP
(win) gain 8 LP

So...
50% win ratio and I'd now need roughly 8 wins in a row to get back where I started.

Those gains and losses on LP doesn't seem correct, winning 2 out of 3 games makes you go up. Winning 1 out of 2 stalls you, losing 2 in a row makes you go down.

i know i had a game that i won and i went from 47 lp to 48lp, thats right. i gained 1lp then lost the game after that and dropped 18lp.

that one win was the only time i ever experienced that and generally other then that if i stay at a 50% win rate im basicly gaining LP slowly

you'll gain slowly and drop alot until your hidden ELO matches your points in your division.

According to Riot, players with a 50% win rate will find themselves gaining more LP than they are losing.
