I'm having problems getting in-game for my MacMini, I've tried the PBE LoL and Boompje's

iLoL. With iLoL, my champion loading screen was either white or black, and after it loaded

and I could hear the sounds of the game and I could click, but the graphics just weren't

there. For the PBE server, I've just tried playing a custom 3v3 where after most of the

other players were loaded, the screen froze. I could still click and move the mouse, but

the loading percentages and pings were frozen. Is this supposed to happen for MacMinis,

or has no one used one yet? The system is:

Mac OS X

Version 10.6.8

Processor 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo

Memory 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Resolution 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz

Any other information you need I'll be happy to tell you.

just to clarify: when you say you tried iLoL, are you referring to the Wine Engine or to iLoL's version of Riot's PBE Native Beta?

Well I just used his link to download the Mac PBE client, so I'm not sure what the Wine Engine is:

For iLoL I used Boompje's website, and I downloaded with Wrenchbox:

yes, i understand - what i meant is, in your iLoL, if you open the launcher and then Preferences on the top left, what does the option for "client" say?

If yours is the 2006 Mac Mini < link (http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_mini/specs/mac_mini_cd_1.66.html) > then it has Intel GMA950 graphics with 64MB of video memory. That chip has incomplete hardware acceleration and is pretty weak. Riot doesn't appear to have finalized any hardware requirements for the Mac client, yet, though, so I don't know if they'll be supporting Intel GMA or not.

However, with iLoL there's a FAQ for having a black screen but sound: < link (http://www.boompje.net/faq/ilol-issues-english#20) >

Quote:
Hit cmd+enter.

This will get rid of the black screen, but will switch you from full screen to windowed or windowed to full screen. To switch back to the previous mode, hit command+alt+a again.

FreakinUnoiringl, turns out my MacMini was the 2006 one, looks like I won't be playing any time soon :P. Thanks for figuring out what the problem was.
