The following build was specifically designed for casters (especially Anivia, and Fiddlesticks), however, it should work on any character.

The main intent of this build is to maximize the effects of Blood Razor in the cheapest possible manner. To do this, we use the following items:

  • Blood Razor
  • Berserker's Greaves
  • Recurve Bow
  • Recurve Bow
  • Recurve Bow
  • Recurve Bow

IMPORTANT NOTE ON BUILD ORDER: Take cloth armor as your first item, otherwise you risk destroying the moral of your team, by letting them think they are teamed up with an idiot (possibly rightfully). Then be sure to work your way to blood razor.

Once you complete this list, be sure to take agility elixirs (if necessary) to ensure you reach the 2.5 speed cap. Use your spare gold to upgrade your Recurve Bows into Wit's End, Sword of the Devine, and Stark's Fervor (if it will help the team). Another good item is the new Malady, however it is best wait until after you have capped your speed before you go back and get this item, as it is more pricey and delay your precious precious damage.

Summoner Spells: Whatever you are most comfortable with. I tend to take Exhaust/Ignite, as I find it nice to be able to blind, slow, prevent healing, and snag some easy kills.

Strategy: Do not be afraid to use your spells. Early game, be sure to play as you normally would. Later, In 1v1 fights, use your cc spells to help keep yourself safe, and to allow more time for attacks. When team fights come around, maximize your use of cc spells for your team, and then stay behind your tank and fire away. Fights really are character dependent, so I'll give an example strategy for Anivia.

Anivia Example Strategy:
1v1 Fight: Use your wall, stun, and slow to control your opponent, an example would be:
Attack -> Ult -> Flash Frost Stun -> Attack -> Wall (to prevent them from attacking you, or to prevent them from running away) -> Attack -> Stun(?) -> Attack. Rotate as needed. Use Exhaust (or other summoner spells) as needed.

Team Fights: Always stay behind your tank. Use your wall to cut the enemy team in half, prevent escapes, or prevent additional people from sneaking in. Use your flash frost to stun carries. Use your blind to blind physical dps. Be sure to focus your auto attacks on whoever the team is focusing. If you must focus someone else, be sure to focus their primary damage dealers, provided they do not have high magic resist. Remember that you are squishy, so you do need to stay behind someone tough, but also remember that your damage IS actually somewhat good. An example of a team fight rotation would be the following:
Split opposing team with Wall -> Stun Carry -> Ult ground to slow opponents -> attack team target -> blind a physical dps -> attack team targets -> repeat as needed.

Final note: This build is surprisingly effective, although that is not to say that it is grade A. It's a fun build for when you are bored, or just looking for something amusing.

You would underperform and would need to farm considerably. Not to mention certain casters (*cough* Annie) would need more than +185% Attack Speed to reach to cap along with their terrible terrible damage output. Zeal->Phantom Dancer is a much better Attack Speed item than recurve bow. Wit's end sucks, Sword of the Devine requires dodge on the other team, and Malady is far worse than Nashor's Tooth.

Better things you can do actually....

Blood razor
Mercs (pretty much always a necessity)
Sword of the Divine
Malady (reduces MR)

Basically.... its an attack speed, magic damage proc based build, that reduces their armor on every shot up to 24 MR dropped (add an abyssal scepter for some added defense, further MR dropped

Void Staff, Sorcs, Haunting Guise all beat Malady's -24 MR which requires attacks to be mixed in with spells (useless as nuking/spell spamming is very much required in fights). Malady is still a terribad item for just about every character, as caster's do not need attack speed buff, and I can get better attack speed with other items.

Actually, I think you are missing the point. The items that come after the Recurve bows are only exemplified because they have attack speed, and they are direct upgrades from the bows. The point of the build is to be cheap, and different, but maintain efficacy. The entire build costs only 8920 gold, which is easily obtainable on any character. So to say that it requires considerable farming is a falacy, as it is the most efficient build/attack speed possible (while still maintaining bloodrazor). Zeal only offers half the attack speed of the recurve bow, for a greater cost. Yes, phantom dancers would be better, however, they cost 3x as much as recurve bows, and only offer 5% more attack speed. You are right though that there are some characters that do not work well with AS, such as Annie. It's a sad truth. However, you can still hit 2.0atk/sec. pre-elixer with just the recurve bows. As for Malady, the only reason that was suggested was because it offers magic resist reduction AND attack speed. It is not a core item of the build.

It's much easier and better to use Hybrid Chars or have some +Mana/cdr on non-caster dps'ers which are equally fun.
