Its all about reference points. After all, you are only competing against other applicants.

...

Should I be nervous?
It's hardly a real interview.

If it was for a dream job I can imagine the pressure.

Wrong. This assumes an company is willing to hire an unqualified candidate simply because the candidate pool was weak.

You should have pre-recorded answers to general questions and play them back.

So glad I got my dream job now, no need to go through stupid interviews ever again.

My last interview was 6 years ago, it wasn't great as I am the nervous and certainly not bold/sure of himself type. But I guess my experience and knowledge played out as I landed the job.

6 years, 2 promotions and several raises later (63% raise since my starting salary), I now own a house and still love my job.

Moral of the story, people that have terrific interviews aren't often the most knowledgeable and valuable employees. They look flashy, appealing and assertive but generally aren't very good at their job and even less at team work. That's my experience after 10 years working in the same industry. (I make wine xD)

Well it entirely depends on the situation. Startup companies and grand opening stores are less selective on candidates.
