EDIT: I originally thought thresh a mage.

Think about it:

Thresh's passive means that he can let the AD carry take all the kills and still collect souls to upgrade easily.

His Q is much like blitzcranks q, able to pull away an escaping enemy, pull them into a turret for an easy kill or pull them away from the AD carry.

His W will allow the AD carry to survive and escape from tricky situations.

His E is good as a slow, and also as a pull/push utility spell. You only need 1 point.

His ultimate is tricky, but you can place yourself behind enemies so that when they try to escape you can whack them with the slow and damage from it.

On top of this, due to his passive, he can still (in a good lane) be able to fight with other mages and reduce hp significantly.

For those of you who don't know who thresh is http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Thresh

He is tagged as a support. Figure out why, lol. Last year, we were hinted to have a badass male support for the 2013. Thats pretty much Thresh.

How to tell the difference between a champion designed as a mage and designed as a support at a glance.

**** ratios.

Thresh has them.

Really? He looked more like a mage to me than a support.

Try Nami as support. It works pretty good.

I didn't really think so, his ultimate doesn't have that bad of a ratio (actually pretty good) and his other abilities, although having low ratios, have a utility attached and will probably end up doing a ton of damage anyway.
