Rune prices go off of how easy the stats are to obtain in other ways. Since the only other way to increase crit damage is an ie (I think), crit damage is considered to be more valuable. Supply and Demand 101 for you right there.

i bought them a long time ago

and honestly i only ever use them in aram anymore and barely do then on select champions like trynd and gp

Because you used to be able to two-shot people as Shaco with Deceive crits. And Tryndamere of course. They had a really high impact, and they were just as relevant early game as they were late as all you needed to get the benefit was the ability to crit.
