(The Two-Masked Samurai)

Type:Bruiser/Jungle/Hybrid

Passive:( Double Masks): When Sokanaki switches his mask he gains new passives and new abilities.

Death Mask: When he switches to Death Mask his first basic attack gains 50/60/70/80% lifesteal.

Chi Mask: When he switches to Chi Mask his first spell gains 50/60/70/80% spellvamp.

Description: the sword resonates the color red or blue based on the mode, it also has a mana-vine looking stream going up the katana from the hilt up to the tip of the blade that moves like as if some wind is blowing it.


Ability 1:( Slash and Swipe):
Passive: Death Mask: gains AD based on 2/4/6/8/10% of his AP
Chi Mask: gains AP based on 2/4/6/8/10% of his AD

Active: Death Mask: Sokanaki can slash in front of himself up to 3 times within 5sec. Each slash deals 50/75/100/125/150(+50/55/60/65/70% AD) physical damage, 30% less damage per swipe to enemies hit more than once, and will apply a mark for 5sec. The mark can only be detonated while in Chi Mask form and using Slash and Swipe on the unit. When the mark detonates it slows the target unit and enemies near it by 20/25/30/35/40% for 3sec and deals 20/40/60/80/100(+50% AD) true damage (this explosion does not have a damage reduction). 0.5sec cooldown per swipe.

Ability Description: Distance- 150

Actor Description: As Sokanaki swings he puts more emphasis on it than his basic attacks, leaving behind a colored ghost trail as he swings based on the current mode he is in. He swings horizontal and in a balanced pose. The Mark above the enemies head is a blue or red sun with some Japanese inscription in the middle. Over the next 5sec the mark slowly starts to disappear, starting from the outside heading towards the center, till it’s entirely gone. When the mark is hit the area around the unit explodes with a mana-like implosion emphasizing the color red or blue based on the mode.


Ability 2:( Flag Bearer):
Passive: Death Mask: nearby allies gain 2/3.5/5/6.5/8 HP for every basic attack
Chi Mask: nearby allies gain 2/4/6/8/10% spellvamp

Active: Sokanaki increases the morale of all nearby allies giving them special buffs for 12sec.

Death Mask: nearby allies gain 5/10/15/20/25 additional AD, regain 2/4/6/8/10 health per sec, and 2/4/6/8/10% increased movement speed.

Chi Mask: nearby allies gain 8/16/24/32/40 additional AP, regain 2/4/6/8/10 mana per sec, and 2/4/6/8/10% increased movement speed.
This ability applies the buff based on the mask that is currently on.

Ability Description: Range- 650

Actor Description: Sokanaki reveals a flag that comes out of his pole along his back. It has some Japanese inscriptions along the inside that changes color based on the form presently being used. While in Death Form the flag is torn and red, with gold seams along the outside. It also has Sokanaki give off a more powerful red aura. While in Chi Mode the flag is well tuned with blue along the inside, and still gold along the outside. It also has Sokanaki give off a more light bluish effect.


Ability 3:( Dash): Sokanaki dashes towards a targeted area. If he hits an enemy he flips over them applying an effect and dealing damage.

Death Mask: Deals 60/90/120/150/180(+65% AD) physical damage and applies an effect which reduces the enemy’s magic resist by 3/6/9/10/15% for 2.5sec. Additionally Sokanaki gains 10/20/30/40/50% attack speed for 3sec if he kills the unit within that time rate.

Chi Mask: Deals 80/110/140/170/210(+75% AP) magic damage and applies an effect which reduces the enemy’s attack speed by 15/25/35/45/55% for 2.5sec. Additionally all of Sokanaki’s spell cooldowns are reduced by 1/1.5/2/2.5/3sec if he kills the unit within that time rate.

Ability Description: distance- 500


Actor Description: Sokanaki sheaths his Katana ducks his head and runs in the direction clicked. If he hits an enemy he then jumps over the enemy, releases his sword and strikes the enemy mid-air. While in the air he also turns toward the direction he flipped from. While in Death Mode his flip has a red after shadow for all his movements. While in Chi Mode he has a blue after shadow for all of his movements.


Ability 4:( Switching Souls):
Passive: Death Mask: Sokanaki gains 1/2/3/4 magic resist up to 10/20/30/40 per attack or spell for 5sec. Additionally he gains 1/2/3/4% armor penetration for every 50 AP he has.
Chi Mask: Sokanaki gains 1/2/3/4 armor up to 10/20/30/40 per attack or spell for 5sec. Additionally he gains 1/2/3/4% magic penetration for every 50 AD he has.

Active: Sokanaki switches masks gaining new abilities and passives.

*8/7/6/5sec cooldown. No cost.*

Description: as he switches his mask does a full 180 revealing the second mask and changing the features of his armor. While in Death mode his mask is more devilish and between the armor gaps comes out a red aura, his cape also is more worn down as if burnt through. While in Chi mode his mask is more peaceful, huge emphasis on blue and vanilla type colored features. Between his armor comes a blue aura.

LORE:
When battle is at foot, there is one person which will fight on either side. Sokanaki carries two souls within one body, both souls ready to fight at a moment’s notice, but that is held to the one controlling the body.

Soon after the League was created there were two samurai warriors named Sokan and Tokanaki. Sokan fought for Noxus, and believed that blood and death presented the best victories, and so he got the nickname Death. While Tokanaki fought for Demacia and believed that peace would come off of the victories of his allies and so he got the nickname Chi. Soon a battle came between the two of them, both sides ready to fight to the end. It was a one month battle that exterminated both of the remaining soldiers except for Sokan and Tokanaki.

The two of them battled for three weeks on end not giving one sign of defeat, a true match among mortals, but as this battle went on someone was watching. Thresh the Chain Warden watched as the two battled for their pride and glory, something which gave him huge interest. He waited until both of their souls had been tired, due to the combat, then engaged. He separated the two souls and combined them both into one, creating a mask with both of their personalities and traits. As Thresh walked away smiling he said, “ Your souls are now intertwined with hate and love. The soul in which possesses the body will now choose your fate.” With the two souls combined they mended their names into Sokanaki, and fought for their own pride. The two souls without a side to fight for decided to take up a challenge in which there skills could be used for self-pride, the League of Legends.

Description: Sokanaki’s armor looks like a typical samurai armor except with a cape along the backside. While in Death Mode the scale plates along the armor are sharper pointed, like daggers. Some are missing, and the mask has a more devilish look. The main theme of this armor is red and black. For Chi Mode the armor is finely tuned with light-bluish scales, none missing, and vanilla white colors. The mask has a warrior look but with vanilla and blue colors to make it look peaceful. Both sides wield a katana that has a black hilt and extends a good portion away from his body. The cape is torn with holes and has gold weaves along the outside for the Death mode. While the Chi mode has it perfectly suit with vanilla white in the inside and gold along the outside.

Build: You want to build Sokanaki as a hybrid character, evenly distribute between ability power and attack damage, or else one side will become weaker than the other which will make passives and bonuses ineffective.

Dance Description: Does a dance with his katana, one of those dances like what you would see in the Last Samurai that is elegant and peaceful, then all of a sudden attacks fast.


Strategy Description: When playing Sokanaki you must get AP and AD to be able to play well with him, making him a truly made Hybrid character. If you get too much of one then you leave behind the other side of the mask and many of the passives that go along with it.
To start off the game you want to go with the Death Mask mode more often, due to the fact that you probably won’t have much in the way of AP at the start. Also I tried to make the order of spells, starting with q w e r, to be well placed, but of course that can change based on the opponents you are facing. When you get Slash and Swipe it is important to use it when you know you can land all three slashes. It is also a very good tool to use while jungling or farming to whomp up as much cash as you can. As for Flag Bearer, this ability is entirely based on what you need. If you are Jungling it’s a good tool to use for its amount of health it can give you. Additionally if you gank then the buffs apply to the teammate in the lane as well, increasing the double team on the opponent. While in lane I would recommend not getting until level 5 or 7. As for Dash if you are in lane I would get this ability first and then get Slash and Swipe, so that if you plan to get in an early engagement then you are ready to either get out of combat or into it. It is good for getting close up on an opponent, which is why while jungling it would be a good thing to get before ganking. His last upgrade, Switching Souls is very important to get as soon as you can. The more you upgrade it the faster you can switch between masks and the more diversity you have within your tactics. If an enemy has a lot of Armor for instance you can switch over to Chi form and deal magic damage instead of physical.


Counter Strategy: While facing Sokanaki it is very important to even out your defenses. Since he can deal either magic or physical damage evenly it would be wise to get items that have both armor and magic resist. Also pay attention to the spells he uses, if you see him using slash and swipe back away so that the remaining slashes cannot dal any more additional damage and the mark on you won’t ignite. One other thing you want to pay attention to is the mode in which he is in. The abilities while in Chi mode deal more of a punch than those in Death mode, so try and avoid them as much as possible. Also based on the mode that he is in, Chi or Death, he gains armor and magic resist. If you are an AD champion and don’t want to deal with his armor wait until he switches to Chi mode, then his armor passives are gone and you can deal the most out of your physical damage.
