I am taking from the tone that you wrote this in your parents also have the same antivirus installed on their computers. The other thing to take into account is have your parents noticed any other odd charges. I am sure when they saw RiotGames that hit a red flag in their heads but they might not of noticed other charges more common. Also if you are stating that the alleged criminal is stupid by using the stolen card information on just account purchases on your account then it would be no problem for your credit card company to just revert the charges and change the card number by reporting it as lost or stolen. I also take it that you no longer have access to your account in question otherwise I am sure you would of just changed the password and removed any card information from that account.

I noticed that no where in your post you mention my stupidity in this issue about being able to guess the CCV of the card in question. Since that point still stands my statement of either a person who knows you or some form of virus took that information as you typed it in also still stands. I am not an expert in credit card transaction but no company keeps this on file and is sent via an encrypted connection to the credit card company for verification before payment is authorized, this is one of the reasons that transactions may sit in the pending category in online banking.

While I am truly sorry that you are dealing with this your continued hostility towards the online community limits my willingness to help you. I hope that you resolve this and that your parents are not to angry with you.
+1. But unfortunately, until the OP recognizes that he or his parents are at fault instead of Riot, nothing will change. It's not up to Riot to secure your computer. And no, someone cannot "guess" your CCV #. Your bank will lock the card almost instantly (two or three wrong attempts), and since there are 3^1000 combinations or somewhere in that ballpark, the chances of the hacker winning the lottery five times in a row is probably higher than them guessing that number. Backdoor/keylogger, simple as that. Or you have someone snooping through your unencrypted wireless traffic (or all three).

GUYS GUYS I found the bug.. the real bug... the program just ignores the 3 digit thig (I dont know the name in english) I read this and I was worried...MY credit card data is saved in my account... you cant see the data (it say something like credit card ended in 6789 or something like that [fake numbers])

I just tried to purchase some RP Ive beeing wandering arround for the Tresh bundle so I go... click purchase RP, select my credic card data, tipe 123 (which are not the real numbers)... and it lets me continue!!! I will try this actually purchasing at some point (like at the begining of the month if posible) and write a ticket to the customer support

Btw they have ALLWAYS fixed every small thing I've requested from them, back in the day you could purchase 4+ Quintesences of the same type... I did by mistake, they refunded my IP, and fixed the system so that you cant purchase more runes than you can use... what can I say

every other isue I have requested from them as ben solved in less than 72hr I personaly cant complain

I will request clarifications on this security issue and let you know if I had better luck getting an answer from Riot.

hostility towards you guys? i appreciate your assistance/trying to help.. but if they have my credit card info from a backdoor/keylogger im SURE it wouldnt be being used to purchase riot points ON MY ACCOUNT.. it doesnt even make any sense.. just stop with that.. its not a backdoor.. someone somehow either bruted my password or slipped thru pvp.nets buggy ass system and has got my password. clicked purchase rp. and yeah. so. gg riot

Dude, having two AVs makes them BOTH INEFFECTIVE. Uninstall one... I'm a senior network engineer at Cisco and boy do you have it wrong. More != Better!!!! Have your parents reverse the charges THEN take them to small claims for $200. I bet you get a response then. Otherwise, please quit trolling the forums looking for sympathy because your password was Password123 or Welcome123 and you were dumb enough to save local CC information. InfoSec 101... This is true, it's not saved locally on your computer, it's saved on the server side. Every other company (i.e. Blizzard, EA) does it this way.

I'll tell you what to do in a moment. Right now I have to say that Riot won't get a person to respond to your support ticket until it has passed a while. They recieve a lot of tickets daily; I have used the support system widely, and human replies always take like a week.

This. Dude, seriously; it's like stacking boots, but worse. No need to go into further details in order to adress your issue.

About your issue, there are several points which you don't seem to understand quite well:

1-Whenever you're victim of card fraud over the Internet, it's not up to the company in which your card was used to refund your money. You report it to your bank and they refund you the money, but it stays as a frozen amount until they verify that you actually were victim of a fraud. If it turns out true, the company will refund it to the bank; if it turns out you lied, the bank will take back the money they gave you and you will have to pay a fee or face legal procedure.

2-Do not ever ask for a refund directly to the company, their policies don't allow them to refund anyone who claims to be a victim of card fraud; they have to recieve a memo from your bank, which says that there was a report of card theft and that there's an ongoing investigation. In that case, they will check the collected data to determine if you actually made the purchase or not, and they will notify it to your bank.

3-Whenever you realize you are victim of card theft (i.e. physical or digital), notify your bank immediately. Do not waste time waiting for the company to fix it for you. Right now, they only have your word, and you may be a buyer who regretted and wants his money back; thus they will never give you a direct refund, because you have to report the theft to the authorities and they will tell Riot that there's an official investigation and ask them to check their purchase logs closely.

4-How do I know if the theft was done by the company itself, and not by a hacker? Because they make a lot of money and rely a lot on having a solid reputation of reliability; they wouldn't risk to losing all that and facing criminal charges just for stealing a couple dozen thousand bucks from you (or whatever your credit limit is).

5-What should I do and what will happen next? First report it to your bank, you can do this over the phone, of course. Over the next few days the bank will refund you the amount, but it will be frozen. Over the next three months (or it can be as short as 45 days, depending on your bank), legal stuff will happen. Your bank and the company will closely investigate if it was a fraud or you're lying. At the end of this time period, they will either unfreeze your amount or take it back and charge you for the resources wasted on the investigation (a fee).

6-What will be the aftermath of all this? The hacked game account will be banned (this is virtually a must), since you have failed to keep it safe, and thus failed to comply with the TOS. Your parents more likely won't let you borrow their cards anymore.

7-Who are you and why should I trust you? I am a dude with experience on cyber crime issues and whatnot, carding being of them; let's say that I work for a company or something.

The issues of how you got hacked and how will Riot decide if it was a fraud or you're a liar, are respectively a mystery, and technical stuff that you don't need to know. Good luck and hope this helps. Also, stop being mad, this will happen to you several times in your life.

Riot will answer questions I've seen them.do.it before on forms. Please calm down to those people trying to help you. Or you may lose all help.
