Hey there,

I've seen this thread, however my issue is slightly different, so I thought I'd create my own thread here.

Basically what happens is, I run at around 100-150 FPS on maximum settings, and all of a sudden
(once every few days or so), it'll drop to around 30 FPS and remain there until I either lower my settings,
or restart the client; neither of which are optimal whilst in the middle of a game!

I'm unsure as to why this happens, and can confirm that my machine is not overheating (sits at around 40C)~
I've tried setting the process priority to above average/high, as well as closing other running processes to no avail.
Like I said, this occurs seemingly randomly..

If it helps, I have also attached my dxdiag - let me know if there's any further information I can provide.

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked your in-game temperatures for your CPU, GPU and RAM?

What happens immediately after you lower your settings?

Like I said, it's not overheating and the temperatures are usually cooler than this.. but it's literally a hot day here in Australia which is contributing to the increase in temp. When the FPS drop occurs, after I lower my settings everything runs smoothly again at 200 FPS~, despite the fact that I had previously had that FPS on maximum settings.

It seems like all these riot responses are just copy paste, no real help.

Those temperatures are a little higher than I'd like to see, but they're within the operating parameters of that processor, which run to about 75C. If you're running at 67C most of the time when you play, you might want to look at other cooling options as over time the heat will wear down your processor.

Do you have temps on your video card?

It usually runs closer to 50-60C, rather than the 60+ range.
It was 40C here yesterday (outside), which is why the temperatures were higher than usual.

If it seems to fix itself when you lower the settings, can you try only changing your FPS cap setting in the video options, https://support.leagueoflegends.com/...-improving-fps and see if that makes the game more stable.
