I have a huge problem which i doubt i can fix but ill ask anyway;

I have an error that comes up when i go to enter a match. it happens right after the timer gets down to 0 and before the charactors pictures comes up on the screen.

It says "Error, Your graphics card or driver does not support shader model 2.0. Please make sureyour video card supports shader model 2.0 and that it is using the drivers from the manufacture."

Now I have Talked to my cousin who is a computer engineer and who loves working with computers and he tells me that he has never seen this so i was wondering What it means and if there is anything to stop it so i can play on my computer.

My computer is a 2005 E machine That has windows.

After you click ok on the error sign, the league of legends sign disapears and it takes over 2 mintues for the PVP.net client appears again.

If Anyone has this same problem or knows how to fix it please tell me

Is there any solution to this besides buying a new graphics card?

k, i have the same problem and i looked at the link and the solutions i came up with are
A)my computer sucks and i need a new one
and B) i need a new graphics card

now, are there any solutions that do not require me to buy something extra for my computer?

Well im very sorry but you Have only one option and that is to buy a new graphics card. i have looked at many different posts and every programmer has said that the only thing you can do is get a new graphics card.

There are some cheap ones that will work for as cheap as $50 at the best

I don't understand why? Lol shouldn't need that good of a graphic card, certainly not better than Age of Conan.. My Graphic card is worth 85$ and it sure were worth every cent. I can play every game I ever tried, Lol too, until for 2 days ago.. May it not be something like the graphic card is corrupt or smth?

So you are saying that you can play every game and that you have been playing LoL with no problems till 2 days ago?

Did you change (uninstalled/downgraded/upgraded) your graphic card drivers 2 days ago?

You can always try to install the latest drivers for your graphic card model from its manufacturer page.
