Don't feel like you have to learn an "op" champ to gain elo, otherwise support players would all be low elo, right?

Have a hearty breakfast or lunch, get comfortable and be relaxed, not tired. Make sure you stay active and maintain a positive attitude. Approach the game in a focused manner.

Each game is like taking an exam, you need to be zoned in and rested to do your best.

Thats great and all, but you forgot that you need some skill to actually go up.
If you are an 800 elo player, are well rested etc. Etc., at the end of the day you are still 800 elo skill wise... You wouldnt move up to 1400 because you are simply relaxed and fed

Just keep playing and be open to learn. Once you realize you aren't as good as you think you are and improve your gameplay, then it's only a matter of time till you rise.

just as well take command and call plays a bad play with 5 players together will almost always go better than 5 players splitting to do their own objective.

Play all the roles and learn how they work (for example: if you play support alot you start to learn how to act as an adc to work with your support, I can say that there's nothing more annoying than sacrificing myself as a support so the adc can survive, only to have the adc turn around and suicide)

Play characters you have trouble against, after you get creamed as wukong from somone who buys oracles, he's no longer as intimidating, or as hard to beat.

Learn to predict which direction people will be when i skillshot lands, this makes the difference between hitting 50% of your skillshots, and hittting 80%.

Likewise, learn to predict and dodge skillshots, this allows you to make somone such as morgana waste her most important skill.

Last of all, work towards rediculously good map awareness, this is definitely the hardest but try to call mias for teamates that didn't notice them. Don't be the one who walks into a group of three roaming the jungle. This is one of the less important ones if you already have good map awareness and also one of the hardest, but this goes a long way towards compensating during those games when you have idiot teamates.

I can't guarentee that these will help, but these things are severly undervalued and at least give you things to try to improve. I hope this helps!!!

If your team mates are feeding hardcore, or are getting rocked. Your best bet is to leave your lane a lot to attempt to gank theirs. Even if you have to sacrifice a lot of CS, its better to lose 20-30 cs for your bottom/top lane not to go 0-4 in lane =p

This is assuming you are mid, or top lane*

Pick one or two champions and pick one role and play only those champions in only that role. This way you can focus solely on working towards your elo goal without having to diversify and deal with multiple champion types and situations.
