While in game my laptop shuts down completely and I don't know what is causing it.i have always played in high-very high med combination of settings and never had this problem. I lowered the video settings all to medium and the problem is still there. I use a Samsung laptop with i5 andnvidia GeForce 310. I already lost a game cuz of this, and I don't want to be penalized, could I get some guidelines/tips on how to know what is causing this or the solution? Thanks in advance. If computer specs are needed I'll post them.

ok,i used a program called msi combustor that makes the computer run hard, for 30 min,the gpu temp reached 89 celcius and the laptop did not turn off so overheating may not be the issue.

Hello, this might be a hardware related problem. I don't really see anyway that LOL could cause your computer to shutdown.

Can you check your battery? They sometimes degrade.

Do you have a spare that you could use in place of your current one?

80 Celsius? That's like 179 Fahrenheit! Your computer's on fire

It's 100% a problem with the PC overheating and shutting itself off. That's dangerous levels for a laptop.

As the others have said, it is most likely over-heating while in game, purchase a fan or if you don't have money for it at the moment put your laptop on a big book where the sides have room below them. This will help keep your laptop from over-heating. Also if you use your laptop on your bed that may cause a problem.

80c is normal temperature for a laptop underload, regardless of overlock
your laptop will not shut down due to heat untill around 100c ,

Did MSI kombuster show your overclock as stable? no artifacts
what did you change the clock speed to on your 310m and what driver are you using
