And I don't want my response to come off as too entitled, either. I do have respect for you taking the time to, what in your vision, will make the community better for all of us. I also have the utmost respect for you banning people endgame who taunt their opponents with phrases such as "gg noobs", "I singlehandedly raped your entire team", "you guys suck go back to maplestory" and the like. A player should always be humble in both victory, and defeat, and I praise you for ensuring that player's do so.

I think the spirit of that rule is to prevent people from trading honor. Simply asking "honor plz", I just don't consider that punishable.

Thanks. I try my best.

The sign is usually 1-4 people saying "OH MY ****ING GOD STOP PINGING BEFORE I RAPE YOUR MOTHER WITH YOUR DOG." If the one guy doesn't say anything, or mocks, that's proof enough. If he claims he's not, I will consider that it may be the lies of a 4 man premade. If it's word against word, I'm more lenient. But it's seldom like that. It's usually "PINGING IS FUN HEEHEE."

Before I started doing the Tribunal, back in my level 20-ish days, I admit to have done this. Since then, I've honestly only done it once ever, to a Corki who was being obnoxious in his attempts to bully me in lane but kept overextending for it. I was Nami, so every time he dove, I'd Q and Exhaust, perhaps ult, and down he went. That's the only time I've ever done it, and I admit I'm a hypocrite for it. I have a problem with Zerg Rushes, and I have a problem with people with a page full of AD or AP and trying to win based on the first five minutes of play. But I haven't done it since, and I feel bad for it.

I'm Batman.

Be a good sport, period.

Having a bad game = trolling? I wish I had a 100% win rate, too.

That's why I've never heard that excuse. I did have one in which a player was AFK for 15 minutes because his father decided to give him the *** talk. We were all laughing too hard to punish for it. Regardless, you'd be surprised how old a lot of these people are. Typing like an idiot has no age limit.

I sense causticity in your words, good sir. These are unfair assumptions. Also, why would you need to write up anything? Just report for, say, offensive language, and if I look at the chat log and see that, no need for any explanation.

...it takes maybe 10 minutes to finish up a day's worth of cases, typically?
just proved my point of not reading.

your pinging theory is still broken

being a good sport in league is pretty hard to do with all the chaos happening.

multiple bad games is trolling to me. for example 3 games: 1/5/2, 1/8/4, 5/13/2
You then look at the champion this guy is playing and hes playing top or mid. Then you might wonder why the hell is this guy bringing his negative mentality to the game by dying on a constant basis. Seriously, after the first game or even the second game, i would develop the sense of "STOP DYING IM LOSING", but the player refuses to change and therefore in my eyes is trolling.

How the hell would you know that hes getting yelled at? "Oh sorry guys i was afk for half an hour because my mom found my porn stash" Yeah, like that happens on a regular basis right?

Recap: Youre still ignorant to the facts that are hidden during the game that the tribunal page does not show, yet you imply this system that every time a certain thing happens, you either punish or excuse. Also, why are you flaunting your 1000 correct cases and justice rating? Just another thing to make you look pretty behind the computer.

2. Excessive taunting the enemy.
3. Excessive flaunting to the enemy. IE “Ohhhh almost!” “Lolnope.” “Try harder.” Etc.
4. “gg noobs”. Yes, even if that's the only thing in the case.
this is part of the problem

i mean wtf is "excessive"? and really, some banter between enemies is healthy for a competitive game. i'll almost never ban for enemies ****talking each other because they are enemies. allies on the other hand should have less leeway. also the "gg noobs" thing made me lol. people still can get banned for something so trivial?? why even bother?

Facts and evidence are what any true, logical conclusion should be derived from. Anything else is subjective and conclusions will ultimately be drawn from inference and personal beliefs. Anything other than an un-biased factual approach to justice is not true justice, and I respect you utilizing a fact-based approach in your system.

On the other hand, I am sure that most of this community does not care that you happened to side with a few other overly-sensitive players who think a few insults or taunts will "ruin the game for everyone". While I respect the fact that you, and many other players, would like to play without reading negative or obscene comments, I for one believe in freedom of speech, and giving others the opportunity to vent or erratically type out their rants on an online game.

While I will not, and cannot speak for the EU, Asia and Brazil servers, I will represent the North America server (which is primarily players from the United States and Canada) when I say we value our privilege to speak freely without reprimand. This is not to say these other countries don't offer the ability to speak freely, or that to others our freedoms are better or more "right"; however, I am sure Riot is not at the slightest against players from North America exercising their freedom as residents and citizens of these countries.

In Canada and America, you cannot get thrown in jail (banned) or given the death penalty, ultimately executed (perma-banned) for obscene material, vulgar language or taunting enemies. If you want to exercise some sick, tyrannic form of justice, then I encourage you to to go to another server that represents another, potentially less-fortunate part of the world. Governments and systems that utilize your approach to punishment have notably been realized by the world over as "against the people".

The day that I get thrown in jail for telling someone to "eat a bag of dix" is the day I will know that my rights and freedoms have been stripped of me. Until then, I will ultimately exercise my freedoms in telling you that you that, in my opinion, not only are you arrogant, but you are also a ****ing idiot and a weird kid.

I encourage you to respond to me in any manner as you wish, as that is your right on the North American servers.
It's amazing how you can be this intelligent, calm, composed, yet at the same time, you act like an immature dingleball. Why? What possesses you to do that? I just don't understand the mentality.

well, when I mess up in game, or have bad games.

I call myself out in chat, saying stuff like "F.---" I suck," "Goddamnit, F---k me" and i rage at myself. If i do rage at teammates, which is rarely ever now, I tell them to get off my damned back, loosen up, and have fun. It is a game,

Are you really proud of yourself for permanently banning 33 people? Most of those people probably spent money on this game, or really enjoyed it.. And you ruined it for them by being ridiculously strict with the rules and banning for trash talk. You say you want a strategy game, taunts are strategy. They throw your opponents off, make them more likely to overcommit to killing you and making mistakes. All you're doing is messing with other people's lives to increase your "justice rating" and in all honesty it disgusts and sickens me. Shame on you.

I hadn't played in ages, forgot I could check out some tribunal cases. Man, I've gone through like two cases so far and it sickens me how childish some of these players are. Players reporting with no description, or egging on someone and then reporting them, or reporting for something extremely mild.

I don't think I can do this as much as you TS, not anymore. It's actually depressing me reading through all this childish ****...

Why do other people have a choice to bann a person who insulted another when the ultimate decision to bann should be up to the one who was insulted not a majority vote.

In a typical day, I pardon maybe 2 of my 20 daily cases. However, most of my incorrect cases are where I punished a case that was ultimately pardoned. Based on this, I'd say about 4 in 20 cases are typically pardoned. That's an 80% punish chance for any case.

I WILL punish if even one case of five is punishable.

Things I always punish for:
1. Excessive cursing out allies.
2. Excessive taunting the enemy.
3. Excessive flaunting to the enemy. IE “Ohhhh almost!” “Lolnope.” “Try harder.” Etc.
4. “gg noobs”. Yes, even if that's the only thing in the case.
5. Ragequitting.

What I'm talking about here is poor sportsmanship. I absolutely will not tolerate it. Some people might criticize this, accusing me of wanting LoL to be a game people play with monocles and tea. And you know what? Yeah, I do want that. LoL is a strategy game akin to chess. Do you see Garry Kasparov mocking Ding Liren after every play? Liren makes a bad play and loses a pawn, Kasparov says “lol nope nice try noob try harder”? No, that doesn't happen. Grow up, be a good sport, or go play something more suited to your mindset. I hear Call of Duty is good for that.

Things I never punish for:
1. A bad game or several bad games.
2. An AFK in which a reason is given... provided it's not multiple cases or if he gives the same reason every time, something he should have the common sense to plan around. I'm not all that picky about the reason. Girlfriend wants ***? Sorry, team, that's more important.
3. Asking for honor.

We've all had that one game where we went 0/12/4. Stop acting like you're M5, get off your high horse, we've ALL had them and it happens more often than we care to admit. That's not a bannable offense. And those cases where all 5 are something like this? All that means is that the player had no games in which they cursed out their team or otherwise got reported. It sure will look intentional if that's literally the only thing anyone could ever report them over.

Things I sometimes punish for, depending on whether or not they happen repeatedly, and what clues the chat gives me:
1. Games in which a person never connected.
2. Clear trolling via a dual mid or somesuch.
3. Excessive pinging, for the sake of it.

Bugsplats happen, thank you Riot, you're like the only game I've ever seen in which this happens so goddamn often. And if a person doesn't know what to do about it, well, what can you do. I'm not banning someone because Riot can't code their game correctly. Hi Riot. You either smiled at this or frowned at it. Hiiiii. Eve 2012.

In the case of I Called It vs. I'm First Pick, it's trickier. I try to follow the clues of the chat. Thankfully, most of these cases degenerate into a rich plethora of four letter words anyway.

Excessive pinging... come on. If someone makes the game less enjoyable, I'll do likewise.

I do not give in to the popular opinion in order to raise my accuracy. Biggest example is the gg noobs thing. I can tell you, based on cases I've gotten wrong, that “gg noobs” is not enough to get punished. But i'll still punish for it, even knowing that I'll probably get it wrong, because that's what I believe.

One thing I am annoyed by is how few people actually report for obvious offenses. There have been games in which an ally absolutely berrated his team, but only one of the enemies actually bothered reporting for it. Are you kidding me? People whine about excessive reporting, but if you ask me, people need to step it up. No wonder this community is so terrible. Hardly anyone reports what needs to be reported. People always talk about junk cases of rage reporting, but I'm lucky if I get one or two of those a week.

AMA.
why are you changing your initial post to look better? Its not working. You dismissed your whole point the second i saw your title.
