Evelynn nerfs?

I wonder if you can still use her ult to secure/steal Dragon and Baron. Right now it always does 1000 damage to them, but I guess even simply trying to steal them is out of the question. You can see Evelynn before she can even ult.

It's like when they nerfed the range of Diana's ult to be less than her Q's range. You couldn't Q > R into anything anymore, which was Diana's bread and butter. You can't even Rush over Dragon's wall, that's how small it's range is. How's Evelynn supposed to combo anyone when she has no element of surprise? Being able to walk past green wards is nice and all, but what good is that advantage when your enemies can see you even before you've gotten into range to do anything? Except for going in with DFG, it's range is 750.

She's being balanced around DFG.

EDIT: I got onto the PBE. With AE at rank one, I was able to ult Dragon for the kill when he was around 700 hp. I'm assuming it'll be the same with Baron. I also used the opportunity to play around with the bots. As with live, I ulted the bot when they were under 1/4th of their health, and it was still a kill. Maybe the ult change just sounds bad on paper, as it seems Eve can still clean up and secure/steal objectives.

There's no other way to put this: she's trash tier once again.

She no longer has the burst she needs to kill squishies. She no longer has the health she needs to stay alive in teamfights. She can no longer jungle efficiently (you will die first clear if you try a full clear).

thats how league works just nerf assasins til no one wants to use them anymore, get ready for khazix and kat they wil be next and after that zed. people cant handle assasin champs doing their jobs if they get fed .

Is everyone forgetting that Jayce and Vi have %max health damaging abilities also... that are not ults?
I think Jayce's E is on an 8 second cooldown and does 20% max health + 1.0 AD
Vi's denting blows does an extra 10% max health every 3rd hit and lowers their armor by 20%

And everyone is worried about an ULT on eve? Granted its a ranged aoe but its an ULT its supposed to do alot of damage! Otherwise why not call it the tickler and have it rub their freakin belly and cause a /laugh interaction?

Not really. The only ability that got a numbers nerf was Ravage which wasn't that much. They just changed the burst order. DFG does Max HP, Eve's ult does current. Open with ult, DFG, spamming hate spike as much as possible, and Ravage. Rank one Ult+DFG = 30% of their health, then it's 35, then 40%, and then you're increasing your magic damage.

Maybe the increase of magic damage makes up for the loss of damage if you were to open with DFG.

She has the burst. She just has a harder time getting to her squishies.

Interesting point, but isnt it riots intention to have champs who have more than 1 possible way to initiate or 1 real skill sequence? Eve is mainly played as ap, now from what you are suggesting is you must rush a dfg. Seems pretty pigeon holed and probably not a place where she should go.

One could argue it would make sense to up(only a little) the AD rations on q and e, remove the ap ratio on r and give it a base damage or a minimum damage. This would open the build possibilities on her to build into ap or ad or even go hybrid and still maintain a respectable damage output without being op.

Eve shouldn't ever be initiating
Current health forces you to use it as an initiation tool.
The problem is quite simple really..........

Current %HP on Ult is the dumbest thing ever, it forces Eve to go in first in order to put the ult into a good use, lets take down 16% of 1/4 hp bar yay, useless. Evelynn was is squishy now, making the ult take current HP forcing her to go in first just targets her for a sure death.

Not only did they make Evelynn more squishy, they made the ult %HP? That forces her to go in first to use it at it's full effect, but in doing that shes marking her self for death. Her ult is now useless if you use it anytime toward the enemy when they aren't at full HP. Let's take down 15% of a already 1/4HP bar Yay!... Useless. The only thing its good for now is to slow the enemy. Otherwise it's Pathetic. She went from useless to playable back to one of the useless champs. Good Job League! Why not nerf some more will ya?
