Play Station 3
Pros: Newest, better games? free multiplayer online?

Play Station 2
Pros: Cheaper only 60$, free multiplayer online?
Cons: Old, playing games like kingdom heart 2, tekken etc.

Xbox360
Pros: Better games? better multiplayer Online? $100 for 20GB
Cons: Vulnerable to ring of death? Xbox subscription fee 15/month

Wii
Pros: Fun games? super smash brother brawl, etc.

Cons: Already have one (tempted to get another one to put in room)

The major differences between the ps3 and 360 are their online and exclusives. Sure, ps3 has better hardware(and you can play blu-rays if you don't have a player) but you rarely will see the differences in hardware utilized expect in ps3 exclusives. The differences aren't enough to make a decision on, regarding hardware. 360's online is more stable in my experience, and less filled with hackers. But you should mainly look at exclusives and see which games you would prefer, then buy the console based on that.

Biggest thing I hate for 360 is having to pay a subscription fee to play with others. I bought the console, I bought the game, I pay for the internet, why do I need to pay to freaking play with others?

Are you really buying a console to play with mates online?
I've always bought my consoles to play with them on the same couch.

It's their service, their choice. However, in my experience xbl is a bit more stable and has less hackers. But, this is my experience and it may be different for others.
