Tl;dr We're reducing prices on champions everyone already has, to a level that is still not affordable for newbies, and we're making new champions more expensive so you are forced to buy them with RP if they are OP or else you are behind for a whole week.

It is also a big middle finger from Riot to all of that buy new champs with IP. But, that has been Riots M.O. for most of the past year, no point in changing now I guess. I wasn't aware that first week champion ownership being exclusive was so high on Riot's priorities or even an issue. Kudos for solving a problem that did not previously exist.

Its nice to see Riot is a company that doesn't launder player's money as many of the other gaming companies and wouldn't mind sacrificing its own profits

Salutes to you Riot!
IP is free.... its not them suffering profits bc of IP and lowering champs

they re saying....when a new champs is released, the oldest 6300 champ gets a immediate price reduction, this means more permanent price reductions, still complaining? why?

@Hippalus - I assume this also covers gifts bought for others during the last week?

Each third release a 4800 champ drops in price?

So you plan to only drop 4800's in price once every 3 months?

Cause you plan for 14-17 new champs, one every 3.....

This is just a pathetic rate of occurrence and i feel slapped in the face.

Offer more reductions in 4800s than 4-5 times a season, it's good customer service.
