Katarina is a VERY strong snowbally champion. Because of her basic abilities' cooldowns resetting on a kill or assist, she can shred through an entire enemy team if she has a farm advantage.

Even if you aren't winning your lane, as long as you can farm and get a good core of items, you can start pushing your lane and running to gank top and bot, and even with just sorc shoes and haunting guise she just does so much damage that it's easy to get kills against pushed lanes.

Once you learn her matchups and how to engage with her in teamfights, you'll find she's a very rewarding champion.

Kat. I hate everything about her, playing with and against her, but she is what you want. Eve will do the same thing, and is loads more fun, although harder to play effectively. Any of the AD assassins are in a good place, Talon, Pantheon, Zed, etc. Vi seemed very bursty to me on the PTR.

I like that Cho'gath was mentioned. His ratios are absolutely insane, .8 scaling true damage is broken. It makes Darius' ult look like pocket change (except that Cho only gets it once :'(...)

It sounds like you prefer melee assassins, but Malzahar can snowball easier than any other champion in the game, since he can literally 1v1 anyone in the game and annihilate them(except Orangeplank). Ahri is very mobile as well, and she can destroy people when she's fed, which is easy to do.

Finally, Leblanc is the most bursty of all the bursters, the most snowballish of all the snowballers. Fed Leblanc is gg. And no one (it seems) knows how to run the other direction, because that's the only counter to Leblanc.

Definitely Leblanc, Ryze, Akali, and Katarina.

Im surprised that anybody thinks that kat is a snowball character, she is very easy to counter by anyone with cc. imo ryze is the best snowballer just because hes both tanky and he can nuke harder than most, not to mention infinite mana pool, plus he has the best gank move in the game (W).

But seriously it adds up to like 450% of your attack damage in one swing. So you're basically Phantom Assassin from Dota.
You'll have to buy more hard damage items to pull that off reliably, and a hard damage Darius melts in team fights. No threat at higher levels as long as you bring a companion with whom to fight him.

Kat snowballs incredibly hard, but you have to know how to play her well. That first double kill at bot lane around level 5-6 is pretty crucial, and you have to pick your battles from there. But as long as you avoid the champs with cc in the early game, picking up kills where you can, you will clean house in the mid game. But yes, if their team has a lot of hard cc, then it does become difficult, though not impossible.

To list a few (not all) for each lane. IMO once these heroes get any edge in their lane, they can press it really hard

Top: Renekton, Jarvan, Riven, Akali, Lee Sin, Rumble, Xin Zhao
Mid: Ahri, Leblanc, Pantheon, Talon, Ryze, Kat, Kassadin, AP Yi
Bot: Draven, Ezreal, Vayne

Any champion can snowball well if played right. The key things you are looking for are mostly mobility, and sometimes high base damages.

For example: I don't consider lux a strong snowballer. She can get fed and become very lethal, but her skillshots can be dodged, she has no escaped, and she's really squishy. She doesn't have any way of forcing you to engage her without landing a snare.

On the otherhand, someone like Akali can force you to trade every time you step close to them. This is the biggest factor in determining which champions snowball best, mobility. If you're winning, then the ability to force trades means you will keep winning. If Kassadin is fed, then he will rift walk and fight you constantly. If Ahri is ahead, she'll ulti for you each time it's off CD. If Riven is ahead, she'll spam all her skills on you and use her low CD ulti each time you try to get close to farm. If Vayne has an advantage, her passive and ultimate will let her chase and DPS anybody. Mobility is snowball.

dota...good times..except phantom assasin crit 400% every 4 basic attacks and had a slow, teleport, and a passive ability like jax e which semi-stealths you.

back on topic, xin was a good candidate before the preseasin patch, where all his core items got nerfed big time. lategame, tanky dps xin could 1v3 and own all three...

Everyone forgot about Fizz =[
He isn't seen much, but once he decides to kill you one of you are dead. He has two slows, a nock up, a leap over small walls, a dash, and ignores unit collision, so flashing through that minion waves so I have to walk around? Not gonna happen.

Pretty much everything that was said about Riven can also be seen in Fizz.

Also: Karthus. Even if you are losing your lane you can always just KS people with your ult or take out low healths that got away or even just wait in a brush for a teamfight to start, walk in die in the middle so your E hurts them all, throw down a wall and PENTA KILL!
