If you're looking to try a new hero, A RANKED MATCH is not the place to try.
Test your strategy in a normal game, even a practice game.
You will enjoy knowing your strategy down to the finest detail so you can execute it in a ranked game (hopefully) flawlessly.
It will save you the embarrassment as well as the hit you'll be taking in your ranking if it fails.

Yeah but for us mid elo normal games is almost like practise games when you know the basics of a champion and trying to master your technique. The only practise you get vs bots is aiming skillshots, knowing your limit vs towers etc.

Normal mode has become practice mode, and Practice mode has become ARAM and IP Farm.
