Twisted Fate looked at the panther…clearly this was no wild beast as the creature did not turn on Nidalee. He assumed the creatures would be quite territorial, yet it kept its eyes focused on him. It was examining him…why would a creature do that? Perhaps this was a human like Nidalee with the ability to transform. It made sense, and he had gone and tried to steal his mate. He let out a soft chuckle, “Ah would have thought ya’ would have known it ain’t polite ta’ keep a lady waitin’. She is lookin' fer' someone who can take action after all!” He taunted before throwing three cards out in front of him, it was his signature Wild Card move. Following these cards were two red cards aimed for the widening gaps between each wild card. Twisted Fate hoped to hit the panther with at least one of the cards by attempting to deny any room to maneuver around them.

For the cards to hit the panther in it's current position, they would have to be angled downwards. While the jump over the middle card was easy, the panther's landing seemed off. Regardless, it began charging at Twisted Fate with a silver sheen beginning to coat it's claws.

Twisted Fate fumbled with drawing more cards and two of them fell to the ground. One covering the other, but given the fact the cougar was almost right on top of him, he had to delay it. He threw one of the cards he had at the cougar. It had no magical enchantmet like his red or blue card, but it would give more than a mere papercut.

Twisted Fate flipped the two cards over and a look of concern crossed his face. He looked up in hope to se if the cougar had averted its charge to dodge the card.

Nidalee simply watched as chaos unfolded in front of her, seeing two fight for a mate, and both of them being capable of mating with the cougar, one less formal than the other. She jumped onto a rock in her feline form, laying there, and watching as she watched in anticipation of knowing who will earn the rights to her, her alpha male. She was the trophy of victory.

The panther kept charging at Twisted Fate regardless of the card, receiving a cut across it's left shoulder. With a snarl at the injury it lunged forward, aiming a low swipe at the man's leg. If he kept fighting like this, the battle would end very quickly and not be in his favor.

Twisted Fate suddenly began to smirk as the panther committed to its attack. The cards on the ground let out a bright glow before another large shield appeared in front of Twisted Fate, but this time it had a picture carved on it. It was the symbol of the Hanged Man! The moment the panther's claws connected with the shield a feeling of paralysis began to spread over its body. It was slowing acting as it slowly made its way up the leg that owned the claws the panther attacked with. However, the paralysis would have to spread through the entire body before it inflicted its full affect. Once the full paralysis was achieved it would last for a mere moment or two. Clearly this magic was meant to slow one's opponent rather than stop them.

Suddenly there was a loud
CRACK! and the shield the panther struck a moment ago began to dissolve into many diamond shapes. After a brief time where there was once a shield there were now twenty sharp diamond objects, and Twisted Fate smiled as he held the Eight of Diamonds. The objects launched themselves at the panther trying to force the creature back if not injure it.

((Because life. >.>))

The panther pushed itself away from the shield, stumbling slightly from the effects of the paralysis. It would snarl again at Twisted Fate, only to see several sharp diamonds flying at it. However, instead of backing away, the panther crouched and began to transform. It's fur began receding, and it's skin took an icy blue tone. The golden eyes it had would enlarge, and a horn would sprout from it's head. It then would sprout a third pair of legs and shrink it's tail before a pair of wings sprouted from it's back, quickly covered by armored plates. The panther was now a creature known as a frost beetle. A cold mist would slowly surround it, hardening it's skin. As this happen, the diamonds would near harmlessly bounce of it.

((Yeah gonna be slow to respond. Maybe MIA.))

Twisted Fate watched the panther transform into a beetle.....thing. Well whatever it was this thing had a hard shell to crack, and this would require a change in tactics. He drew a new hand, and luck remained on his side, as always, and looked at his new hand. The card of Strength, Magician, and Ace of Spades were the most powerful cards he had. Then he had two throw away cards, well he had two things to test. One of the cards turned a dark blue and an eye appeared on it. If physical attacks failed...there was always magical ones. To test this new creatures' hardiness he launched the blue card at the creature. Even if it did no damage it would replenish his own mana reserves.

The frost beetle would open up it's wings and begin quickly flapping them, spreading an ice mist across the area. The blue card would slow down but still connect, though the beetle made no response to if it hit or not. It began to slowly trudge forward, it's wings causing the cold mist to quickly expand.
