A stack of cards appeared under a tall, old, yet surprisingly healthy oak tree. They slowly spread until they formed a complete circle and a light was emitted from the cards. Once the light faded Twisted Fate and Nidalee appeared in its place.

“Here we are.” Twisted Fate said as he released Nidalee and gestured to the landscape around them. There was large lake that had a soft gold glow to it as the setting sun’s rays hit the lake. However, this effect would not last long as the sun was slowly sinking behind the tall trees on the other side of the forest. The area behind them was a dense and thick forest; one could see a deer moving along the outskirts shrink back from the sudden appearance of Twisted Fate and Nidalee. The sounds of other wildlife readjusting themselves to the sudden appearance could be heard as smaller animals rustled through the brush and birds took flight.

The oak tree itself was taller than Alistar and was wider than him as well. Attached to one of the tree branches was a lonely, wooden swing that had seen much use…at least before whoever used it left. It is evident that whoever stayed here left many years ago. Twisted Fate moved closer to the tree before pulling away a patch of brush that was under one of the many large roots. A passageway had been carved out from the dirt, and at the end of the tunnel there was a wooden door. The passageway was large enough for three people to fit comfortably, but anymore would be pushing it. It was like a hideout for a large group of people….perhaps Twisted Fate had come here in his childhood? How else would he know of such a place? Perhaps the better question would be…why a hideout this far away from civilization? Seems impractical to most people, but most did not know the gypsy way.

Twisted Fate looked back at Nidalee, “Give me just a second n’ Ah’ll be right back.” He said before descending into the passageway. Moments later Twisted Fate reappeared with an average sized square wooden table. He set it down before adventuring back into the passageway before reappearing with one and then two chairs. Then on the final run he comes out with a white tablecloth, matching napkin, and two bottles of aged fine wine. He removed his hat allowing Nidalee to see his face as he reached into his hat and produced two wine glasses and then a glass vase with a beautiful red rose ((Thanks Zyra!)). He centered the vase in the middle of the table and a glass at each end of the table. He pulled out the chair nearest to him, and gestured for Nidalee to sit, “Ah’m sorry fer’ the wait, but now we can really begin the evening….if everythin’ fits yer’ tastes.”

Nidalee, in her human form, sits where Twisted Fate gestured. Smiling, she states: "What a gentleman." in a casual tone, revealing that a civilised act was unnecessary. She put her hands in between her legs, clumping them together, as she looks forward in anticipation.

Twisted Fate nodded at Nidalee before seating himself across from her. He did catch the hint that a more civilised nature was off the table. He wouldn't open up the wine....yet, "So mon cherie, was Ah correct in assumin' yer' more comfortable away from civilization?" He said gesturing to the area around him. They were most likely the only human beings within miles of the forest.

Not that he minded a little peace and quite. While city life had its attractions there was always a certain perks that made Twisted Fate enjoy the countryside or wildlife. He didn't have to bothered by Graves, mobsters, angry civilians, or alchoalics. All perks in his book, and not to mention he was staring at one of the most beautiful gifts of nature in front of him.

Having been lurking in the tree, a certain panther tenses it's muscles. Keeping it's eyes on the Cardmaster, it silently makes it's way down to a lower branch and prepares to lunge.

((FYI: Riniac has been wanting Nyandalee since I made this account, but he hasn't been manly enough, so he proved it by out-manning Gragas, and now he wants to fight over me ;L. Reminds me of how manly lions compete to prove their manliness to the lioness ))

Nidalee looks to the open spaces, and the vegetation around them. She smiles, nodding her head at the setting. It is in the middle of the wilds, isolated from civilisation, and she is satisfied. "Looks like it." She says, forgetting that all this was caused by a bag of catnip in a gambler's pocket. She realises what her addiction brought her to. An accidental date.

((I've known that, and he informed me.))

Twisted Fate nodded well that was a relief, "Care ta' tell me a little bit bout' yer'self? What ya' like, besides catnip obviously, n' small stuff like that." Twisted Fate said as an honest smile spread across his face. Then he got a bad feeling. His eyes darted around trying to find the source, it was as if someone or something was watching them. They were in the middle of nowhere, but still he couldn't shake the feeling.

Twisted Fate grabbed a card from his pocket, but did not remove the hand from the the pocket it however. Nidalee might see a golden glint from under his hat, it was there only for a moment then faded as quickly as it came. However, his face did not change to express any hint of warning. Instead he was smiling at Nidalee.

The panther lets out a low snarl at the word catnip, glaring at Twisted Fate. Eyes locked on the Cardmaster, it changes position as Twisted Fate slips a hand into his pocket. From it's current location, it was position directly above him. Once Fate smiles the panther would lunge at him, claws outstretched and aimed for the hat.

"Well... I was never used to cities," Nidalee says, straight-faced and dispassionately, noticing a yellow flash on Twisted Fate, but disregarding it. "Although I can say that there are more prey there... I... am an orphan, but I know that ever--" her words cut off by a snarl that came out of the wilderness. She briefly wonders to continue, until a panther lunged, in which she sits expectant of her proclaimed human mate to win. Her face remains straight and without expression, other than a grin on the right half of her face. This reminds her of the feline ritual, and that it means that only the strongest male would win the rights to the female.

Twisted Fate nodded at Nidalee's response before she was interrupted by a snarl. It seems Destiny did indeed have a challenge for him. He drew the card and threw it at the panther that was dropping down on him. A shield was the main design on the card and a large greatshield appeared in its place. Unless the panther had any special tricks it would land on the greatshield, which would disappear moments afterwards.

Twisted Fate had repositioned himself around 10 feet away he held five cards in his hand. However, knowing the Cardmaster, making others appear would not be difficult. His eyes surveyed the terrain around him. Moving into the wilderness would not help him whatsoever, however if things went south there was always the lake. He doubted the panther could swim and attack at the same time.

He thought it odd that there was panther here...there were no signs of such a creature in his childhood. Perhaps it moved in after his family left, but he decided to offer the creature some advice,
"No one touch the hat." After that statement he stood there holding the cards in his hand preparing for his aggressor’s next move. He had a plan for this combat, and he had Destiny on his side...there was no way he could lose.

The panther may feel slightly off, but it would find no reasonable cause. It was as if fate had sided against the panther.

Driving the shield into the ground with the force of it's leap, the panther growls at the Cardmaster. He may be lucky, but luck only gets you so far. The panther crouched down, looking at the cards in Twisted Fates hand in an attempt to make out any symbols or significant colors on them. It narrowed it's eyes once more, watching the gambler examine his surroundings. He'd be in for some bad news if he thought the environment would hinder the panther in anyway.
