It might win you some games. But it's still the wrong build for the champ. Wearing jeans to the gym is viable. I can still bench-press. I've even won some soccer games wearing tight jeans.

Using Honey to sweeten coffee is viable. Doing dishes with shampoo is viable. They get clean. I don't think it all makes complete sense, but I don't think Dishwashing fluid is the only thing that kills germs.

Why don't you just play Sona and put your lulzy support builds on her. Instead of bashing you your teammates will love you.

I totally forgot about the frozen heart's aura...that would be pretty nice and have a lot more usefulness than stark's would have for me. The max cooldown though is 40% so you would get 25% from the frozen heart and if you get soul shroud you get 15% your team would be all maxed as far as cooldown reduction goes...so the runes would be pointless and golem would be less worthwhile. If you get the locket instead you would be at 35%. The +mana is usually the reason I pick the locket over soul shroud, since I tend to keep the golem buffs mid to late game...and lizard if my team isn't grabbing it.

Alright I'm going to play through a game going for the frozen heart, soul shroud, and abyssal scepter, will of the ancients, either mercury or sorcerer's boots, and either the void staff or banshee's.

And no I don't use Mejai's soulstealer, even though I would probably max it out in most games lately, I don't trust my teams enough to do that usually.

I get what you mean about the cooldown being less so the ap scaling is less...but that also means each hit is doing less damage, and it is getting magic resistance applied to each hit. Annie is like veigar except he has the stun as an ability rather than a passive and annie gets a shield, which makes survival a tad bit easier for her in my opinion...veigar is one of my favorites though.

Anyways, I'm going to play a game right now and switch out for the frozen heart for stark's and maybe try a little bit of what you guys suggested. I'll let you know how it goes.

Not one of my teams have complained yet. Not to mention it makes pushing mid game so easy that the games last less time, which has been pretty nice as well. And I don't think there is just one build for most champions that works. It just depends how you are playing the champion. I like to use her more for controlling the battles than for straight burst dps. It keeps people alive on my team, and we still take them out.

and I don't play Sona first because I didn't bother getting her. And second because her stun can't be used as much. She's great, but I'm looking to make Annie into the master of crowd control and pushing, which I think she has the potential to do.

Since the main thing Annie brings to the table is her stun the main focus of my build is to keep me alive while I throw out stuns and damage, while also giving auras to my team to keep them out pushing longer.

I know this seems counter-intuitive but I've played both the traditional rylai + rod of ages build and have done about the same. Meaning a 7 to 1 kill to death ratio or better. Of course with a good team I get way more assists with this build.

This post is more for pro and con discussion right now since I've only just started testing the build.

This is normally what I end up with before the team surrenders at twenty five or is beaten in twenty seven (I don't give this build credit for that, but every game with it has been that way):

Innervating locket, sorcerers shoes, starks fervor, will of the ancients

And the last two depend on the team. lots of cc and magic banshee and aegis. If they are stacking magic resis get abyssal scepter, if they have lots of physical dps I thought about getting omen...and if nothing else rylai's scepter is never bad.

Either way by this point the hp you get from your items, your shield, and your stun should let you get out of or live through almost anything. You and your allies attacks and abilities will restore their life, and you should have enough mana regen aura to keep you and your team fighting.

I 've gone clarity and flash, but clarity could be replaced with another without much pain, I like it for when I'm fighting golem early level.

anyways, comments? Suggestions? Random statements?
One build that I've done is at the beginning you get the mana stone and two health potions, then the catalyst protector. After you get that, start on the sorceror's boots, then finish your rod of the ages. Next go finish your boots and start on a Meja's Soulstealer, get a void staff and then the Rylai's scepter. One luxury item would be the hextech gunblade, the spell vamp is helpful, but that depends on how the game is going. The alternate can be sheen or the will of the ancients that build will dominate your opponents.

As for Gameplay, you want to have Flash and Ignite for Summoner spells, and if you're good enough you can use the Flash as an ambush tool to jump in on your enemies. That way you can get of that good 'ol cone of flame as well as your ult. and firebolt.

I hope this was helpful.
Good luck.

A Starks Fervor, how selfless. (read: stupid) The attack speed doesn't do anything for you. And what are the advantages of a locket instead of RoA or Banshees? I will throw in 2 Warmogs and make Annie a Support Tank, rendering Taric obselete. (Making use of E as well)
I agree but Annie can pwn ashe with the build that I posted on this forum. My last game Ashe killed me once and that was because of a gank. I killed her 14 times.

As far as making Annie an aura bot, there's many champions that are better for that job, and still have some utility besides spamming stuns. Plus, I don't see how going the traditional AP route prevents you from spamming stuns like you want to.
this.

Support Annie is about as rational as AD Annie. she can buy the items, and the items do what they say they do... but Annie is just not the best champion to play that way.

She is pretty fun to play support, but only play her bot for fun, or for a high dmg high poke comp. When u support, make sure ur support items don't give ad like fervor, but give ap, or any other useful stat.
