Sword of the Divine should be the AD caster version of DFG.

It's really difficult for me to find a use for Sword of the Divine in its current form. Its active is actually really awesome for AD casters -- you've built AD so you have a big number on your auto attack, but haven't built much attack speed or crit so you don't normally get a lot of mileage out of it. The Sword of the Divine active solves that problem very nicely. However, it's got a pretty hefty price tag for non-active stats and when it's on cooldown that gold is completely worthless.

I think this could be solved and something nice be done for AD casters at the same time. Keep the active, but remove the refresh-on-kill and the passive attack speed, and instead give it some other AD-caster-friendly stats. Something like...

+10% CDR
+25 AD
UNIQUE Active: Same as before, minus the refresh on kill part.

You could keep the price, though it would need a little more to be worth 2400 gold. You could probably just build it out of brutalizer, up the AD to 25 on the upgrade, and give it the active. Now, suddenly, we have an item that's really awesome for AD casters -- instead of this thing that's really hard to fit in anywhere.

The new Cleaver is meant to be the DFG equivalent, it gives AD, CDR, Arp, and HP. Which is pretty much everything a melee caster wants besides spell vamp.

This basically IS the equivalent of DFG for AD casters. Just use it like it is while all your other items stack AD, ignore crit and ignore attack speed.

SotD's active increases your average AD assassins burst more than another AD item if he already has a lot of AD.

It basically adds at least a 3.0 TOTAL AD ratio to your combo (combo = all your abilities + 3 auto-attacks) and lets you do it even quicker.

Agreed. I love the new mechanic, but having it grant Attack Speed while inactive is not synergistic with it's active, nor with the characters it seems to be intending to work best on.
