Okay guys, its time to endorse this to new levels! We all enjoy the combo mechanic whether we like the resource used or the lore, we need to get this idea to riot, it is unique and would be great to have in the game, so please contribute all you can, just a simple comment to a entry in the lore brainstorming, lets try to get riots to see this!!

Name: Laguard, the Bandle City Spellsword. (or Quip)

Lore: As childs Laguard and Veigar were two brothers exceptionally gifted for magics. But even from the beginning, Laguard was a lot more emotionaly involved in life than veigar, and if Veigar cultivated his magic power through ancient readings, Laguard found his magic power source within his will. Therefore, Laguard always was considered as a freak far behind his brother in terms of old magic knowledge even though he was the only one that could rivalise with Veigar's magic in Bandle city. When Veigar disapeared, Laguard felt terribly involved and started to seek for his doomed brother all around the world untill he faced the horrible facts. But no matter what his brother could do, Laguard would always seek to save his beloved brother from the evil that is haunting him.
Other lore suggestions for that champion thread

Graphics: Laguard is a Yordle mage manipulating a fine sword as big as him in the one hand and manipulating magic with the other hand. Laguard has no books as his belief is that magic power comes from the heart.

"Purple" willpower because this is magic energy (usually mana (blue)) boosted by emotional energy (usually rage (red)).
(Willpower could use any other names like (rage energy, Feelings power etc...))

Ressource : Laguard has no mana but uses a purple willpower almost like rage for tryndamere that does not upgrade his crits chance but does boost his ability power (for example each 4% of willpower grants 1% AP bonus).
The main though behind this idea is to bring some severals effects of "rage" on gameplay to APs casters, rendering them better in longer fights than in pure burst fights.

Passive : Each time a combo is well executed Laguard is healed for a certain amount of hp, the successives well executed combos increases that amount up to a cap. (Can be changed to "each time a skill is used", with ~5 seconds to stack the bonus after each use if we want the passive to be available anytime).

Laguard has an utility ultimate that is available at level 1.
*Thus each other abilities can be upgraded 6 times.
Or, in case we want the ultimate to fit the global leveling rule (6/12/18) each level would only decrease the CD of the ult for example (80/60/40). But in that case, the passive must be changed to "each time a skill is used", with ~5 seconds to stack the bonus after each use.

First skill Q: CD ~20 seconds normal attack + Bonus AP damages.

Laguard dash on an enemy as a ghost and slashes it applying on hits effects.

Second skill W: CD ~20 seconds deals AP Damages.

Pierce the targeted enemy with his sword and drain 150% of the damages dealt from the wound as an anti magic shield that will last 5 seconds. (does not apply on hits effects and doesn't remove E's passive)

Third skill E: Cost all willpower CD 10 seconds damages stack with AP and willpower used. Passives damages with AP.

"E" is an area of effect spell that deal damages arround you, the applied buff of the spell and animation change with the last skill you used before.

Effect If "Q" is the last spell used before:

Active: Laguard imbue his sword wih nature element and pierce the ground damaging surrounding enemies and rooting them.

On hits passive: Laguard stops the enemy movement (that effect has 4 seconds cooldown) and apply bonus Ap damages.
The sword remains buffed for one minute or untill buff is replaced.

Effect If "W" is the last spell used before:

Active: Laguard imbue his sword wih arcanes and create a vortex in his off hand gathering magic energy and make it explode under him as a shock wave damaging units arround him. Bonus damages are based on the total affected units max ability power.
(the spell has 2 times first the gathering process that takes at least 0.5 seconds before the shock wave happen)

On hits passive: Laguard deals bonus AP damages and reduces the enemy's magic resist.
The sword remains buffed for one minute or untill buff is replaced.

Effect If "E" is the last spell used before (also base spell):

Active: Laguard imbue his sword with fire and spin one time slashing all surrounding enemies burning them.

On hits passive: Laguard deals bonus AP damages applying a burning debuff on the enemy that can be stacked 5 times. When the 5 stacks are reached each additional attack on the same target will have his bonus AP damages doubled on that target.
The sword remains buffed for one minute or untill buff is replaced.

Effect If R is the last spell used before:

Active: Laguard raise his sword and call storm upon it dealing damages to all enemies arround and slowing them

On hits passive: Deals extra magic damages to all enemies arround the target the more enemies there are the more the damages.
The sword remains buffed for one minute or untill buff is replaced.

Utimate R: CD ~ 60 seconds

Starts combos and reduce the CDs of "Q", "W" and "E" by ~10 scd. (or reset them depending of how we balance the thing)

How do combos works:
We may assume willpower would look like that: Attachment 570233
/!\ While combos are actives Laguard gains no more willpower with basic attacks and loose no more willpower over time.

When the spell goes in cooldown:
-the willpower bar is reset to 0.
-A golden mark appears in a place within the very right part of the bar. [------------| |---] (Attachment 570235)
For example the mark appears at 60% of the bar at first activation then 66%, 71%, 79%, 82%, 84%, 85%, 86%, 87%, 88%, 99%, 90% upon successives reactivations.
-The bar is then progressively filled over 3->0,5 seconds (starting by 3 and loosing 0,1 for each successful reactivations down to a cap of 0,5 or lower if too easy) and when a spell is used the progression is stopped as follow:

*In this example the "X" is the cap when a spell is used and the willpower stop increasing.

(if the order is cancelled before the spell effectively goes in cooldown the combo is stopped)

The willpower bar is reset to 0 if no spell was used before the bar reach 100%.

Just in case we dont want to have a "mark" and we want the combos to be a lot easier, we can just imagine the player has to use his spell before the energy reaches 100% for example. If we keep the "mark", we also can imagine the combo is successfull if the spell is used before the "mark" level so that it is easier.

At the end when combos are stopped it would be fun to have a little text informing the number of successive well executed combos reached.

additionnal notes:
***Remark that the combos reduces generously the cooldowns while actives but spells are therefore never executed with full willpower bonus.
****Ofc "R" can also be used while a combo is active but if it is used while willpower is not on the mark level then it will end the actual going combos chain before starting another one (resetting the passive heal bonuses in the process).

Advanced tactics:
-Laguard's main weakness are disables because they will interrupt his combos if these are well used, the only defense he has against disables is his "W". Therefore it would be interesting using the combos only when you just used "W" to benefit from the magic shield cover.
-If you think there are no risks to be disabled then it would be interesting not to include "W" in the combos which allows you to stack "E" fire faster. Doing "REQEEEQE" instead of "WREQEWEEE".
-In an other situation if enemies are numerous and close to each others it would be interesting to do "WREQWQWQ" too keep the electric passive bonus.
-The "E" used after "W" would be interesting in occasionnals situations as the damages would be good only if an AP carry is nearby.
-Many other tactics could be developped here using the same paterns for example if you want to keep the arcane passive or the nature one etc...
-The item build would also influence the choices as if you build attack speed for example you would rely more on the passives than if you dont etc...
