[Nasus, the Avatar of Death]

All right so you want to play an Avatar of Death, a god of which can take an entire team 1 v 5. Well you have come to the right place. Nasus is a beast when it comes to 1 v1 and even more when team battles are involved. Nasus can easily scare off opponents just by casting his ult, which is pretty funny if you think about it and simply a good feeling knowing they just donít want to **** with you. So know when to pop it to maximize your kills or just to stay alive.

Masteries (24/6/0)

First off letís talk about his mastery set up. I go for the 24/6/0 set up. I know it is not a normal staple 21 in one and 9 in another but come on if you look at the two 9 points, they are not too good for Nasus. You got the 1g per 10s which is not that much and you should be doing a lot of last hitting. Then you got the other points your are wasting in it donít help him that much. As for the other one, minimal dodge chance and increase movement from it is very small chance of really helping. So all I do is go full damage and 6 into the defense tree for MR and Armor.

Now on to the Runes for Nasus: For the Mark category you want to take full armor pen, this is because this is the stat you want to stack with Nasus. This makes your hits, hit BIG, and good early game. Next for the Glyphs, I would go all CD due to having 10.5 CD reductions is always nice. Lastly is the Seals which I go for the common HP boosts for pure survivability. Each of these I do one Quentessent Rune but this is all up to preference.

Summoner spells (rally, cleanse)

Here with Nasus you CANíT very that much. I go with the Rally and Cleanse. Rally is too good with his Ult. Come on now you pop them both, not only will your team love you, due to one spell changing the team fight but now your Ult is way more of a force to be reckoned with. I do also get the improved rally too due to its more team friendly and making it last longer than your ult. (I also get Rally due to itsí help early game with dragon and every good team will have a rally in their team) Next is the Cleanse, now this one CAN NOT BE REPLACED!!!!! You can go with something other than rally even though I wouldnít due to ult, rally combo, but cleanse is just to staple for a melee dps. I am getting at when you pop ult, the enemy usually runs away and waits it out or they FOCUS you. A Stun or blind in those first 3 seconds will kill you. Your life seal is your only survivability and not attacking equals death, so having a cleanse can make you able to continue to own.

On to the skill leveling guide: One thing to note here is Siphoning Strike is your MAIN damage and it gets stronger the longer the game goes, so if I have to say one thing as a pro Nasus player isÖLAST HIT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN WITH THIS. Good Nasus players will get 4-6 minion kills per wave. With last hitting tactic, making an average of 10 damage stronger per wave, so just do the math. Also a nice note since I see a lot of bad Nasus players do this and this would be spamming Spirit Fire on like every minion wave. Now there are a few bad things about this. First your wasting a lot of your mana, which you donít have much MP5 anyway so save all your mana for Siphoning Strikes. The other is your pushing too good early game and this is NOT good. You might feel good thinking your owning your opponent but youíre not due to fighting at a tower at low level; equals greater chance of a kill for the tower defending side. You should be focusing way more on those last hits on the minions, equaling up to those 4-6 last hits. (which can be a lot early game) Another thing to note is the fact that early game and opponents harassing your does not have as big of effect on you, due to your natural life steal making you able to run in for a last hit with your Siphon Strike and making a killing blow on a minion , and just healing the harass damage right back.

So this is what I would go.
Skill Build
1: Siphoning Strike
2: Spirit Fire
3: Siphoning Strike
4: Wither
5: Siphoning Strike
6: Fury of the Sands
7: Siphoning Strike
8: Wither
9: Siphoning Strike
10: Wither
11: Fury of the Sands
12: Wither
13: Wither
14: Spirit Fire
15: Spirit Fire
16: Fury of the Sands
17. Spirit Fire
18: Spirit Fire

Item build
There are a few things again like the cleanseare just a staple to this champion. The first item you work for, is the Sheen. This is too good when your use your Siphoning Strike and are hitting like a truck. This does build into the Trinity Force of course.
So here we go..

Start:

Sapphire Crystal with 1 HP pot and 1 Mana pot (Use HP pot and rally for dragon at start, make sure you click the pot during the fight wonít need a heal for it)
Sapphire Crystal< Sheen (860)
(maybe another mana pot, your sheen will take care of the life)
Boots/ Meki Pendant (740)
Emblem of Valour (800)
Mekj Pendant < Chalice of Harmony (500) (cheapest MR in the game also your only need of MP5)
Boots< Mercury's Treads (850) (The best boots in the game due to everyone using slows or stuns)
Emblem of Valour< Stark's Fervor (1750) (usually buy in parts also a great team item and more life steal)
Phage (1350)
Sheen+Phage< Trinity Force (1475)
After this the game is getting to the end and you could start working on whatever you so choose, being survivability or more damage, itís all up to you. I usually go for the Banshee's Veil since I am always targeted.

Game play (early/ mid/ late)
So you want to know how to play Nasus huhÖ

Well early game is where I see most people doing it wrong with Nasus, as stated before, Nasus is too good at pushing with his Spirit Fire early game. So DONíT USE IT! Focus on the Siphoning Strikes, build that up its way more important. Just take it easy and wait for your minions to work them down and come in with the Sheen and Siphon Strike combo and you can kill minions at half HP easy at even lvl 6 with this build. Not to mention the big burst of health you get back too, making any harassment put on you while making that kill pointless and a waste of their mana; this lets your stay out there longer and get a lot more bonus damage on your Siphoning strike. To sum up early game, DONíT PUSH and use Sprit Fire sparingly and get lots of last hits with your Siphoning strikes.

Mid game with Nasus can go a lot of directions. This is due to him being one of the best junglers, with his natural life steal. If you are soloing with him you can continue to do what is mentioned above, but my personal suggestion is to let someone else take over mid so they can start getting more ex and your start jungling. (When someone gets to lvl 6 you swap with someone, it helps your team lvl faster due to you will have 2 solo lanes and a 6 vs 8 in mid is the norm, and is easily hand able and not a huge disadvantage.) If you are jungling you want to make sure you get all those last hits, even wait for you CD to come up for every minion, even if this means just sitting and taking damage from them. This again helps you manage your prime ability the Siphon Strike. Also during this time is the great time to come and aid your fellow teammates and their lanes for some ganks. One last thing you can be doing even as low as lvl 9, is get the dragon, if you have your rally and of course have your sheen you should have no problem taking it on and the more you do that one the better your team is off. (good idea to have the two other buffs when taking on the dragon so early, makes it a lot easier.)

Lastly the late game; here now you should be still and always lvling up your Siphoning Strike but seeing its true power, if you havenít already all game long. Just work with your team and push towers. There is not much else to be said at this point it has to many different situations to think of whats correct to do, so just stay with your team and own in team fights. Also to note, Nasus can take 1v2 and 1v3 quite often, if you get some stupid ****s that stay and fight you especially in your sprit fire, if they do you got them hands down.

So there you have it the guild to playing a good Nasus the Avatar of Death, now go forth and LVL that Siphoning Strikes to god like damage, and own those before you.

lol, dont copy from html?

Edit: Much better, you got some parts duplicated although!

Theres a similar guide allready, still your items are a bit different, Ive used pretty much that build except I dont take any mana regen at all, focus on getting golem buff and a spirit shroud for cooldown, I feel the lower cooldown makes SS raise faster and later on it goes down to 3-4 sec recharge making it perfect to just spam and activate sheen on each strike. Ive tried with stinger as well, gives a bit of mana regen and takes care of the cooldowns (Dont need cooldown runes with this).
Overall its a good guide, thanks for the contribution.
