Hey all!

I am shopping for a new car right now. Wondering if any of you guys had any advice.

I'm hoping to get a fairly cheap car as I want to come as close to buying it with cash as possible (need to save money - hoping to start going back to college soon). I am currently looking at cars like the Civic, Accent, Aveo, stuff like that. I'm not sure if I should be buying new or used, or if there are any particularly nice entry level cars that I should look at. I probably won't be keeping it for more than 2 or 3 years so I'm a bit less worried about stuff like the warranty.

Thanks for any help!

I love my civic that I got last year.

It's treated me well. I'm at 13,000 miles - only needed to change oil once (it has an internal timer) and I've had no problems with literally anything. I

Well it depends on what kind of cars u like ...

So there is a new car of mazda not too expensive its the MAZDA3 5-Door Price : $19,685 Link (http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/displayPage.action?pageParameter=modelsMain&vehicleCode=M3H#/exterior)

Then if u just want it to travel in small distances i suggest u get a

toyota 1.0 stata iQ 4-Seater Price : $19.992 Link (http://www.cbg.ie/newcars/Toyota/iQ/iQ_4-seater/1.0_Strata.aspx)
Or
Toyota 1.0 strata iQ 2-Seater Price : $18.993 Link (http://www.cbg.ie/newcars/Toyota/iQ/iQ_2-Seater/1.0_Strata_2-Seater.aspx)

Hope i helped ya ,

Best luck Paddy

I am also in the market for a new ride, saving up until January to purchase.
The 4 cars I am looking at:

Accord
Civic
Altima
TC

All coupes. Personally, I like imports because they hold their resale value and are overall more dependable. That might have changed over the last few years, but I have never gone wrong with Japanese cars (Although at 25 years old, this is only the 2nd one i will buy, haha).

Accord:
The price point is 2nd highest, but the car comes pretty loaded. Great body style. This is probably the car I would like to buy.

Civic:
In some cases, almost 5k cheaper then the Accord, but even the mid range models have a ton of features, a strong HP/Torque rating and still a pretty slick car. This is the car I am most likely to purchase.

Altima:
On average, the most expensive car in the bunch. Feature wise, its slightly less then the Accord... but easily the best acceleration and torque. Its pickup is so fast, you will think you are rocking 50 more HP then you really are. Also a slick, slick design. However, because of its price point, this is the least likely car I will purchase.

TC:
Despite the tacky forced "THIS CAR IS COOL" commercials, the TC is a great, great ride. The body style and build is somewhat acquired taste. Pricier then the Civic, but with more features and stronger engine this car is worth the extra few K that you will spend on it. Although being price conscious, this car is the wild card. At this moment, the inner economist in me wants me to buy the civic... but when the times comes I might just end up buying the TC.

I have several pages worth of research on each car, but in reality it boils down to what I have posted.

GL on your search Guinsoo.

Ignore all others in this post and listen to me. I bought a Mustang, and it literally changed my life. Get a v8, 5 speed in the color of your choice. Driving becomes one of you favorite things to do. Detailing your car becomes an expression of your inner child. And they arent even that expensive...

Look at these pics:

If your not keeping it long, i would just go and get a used car, a toyota or something. Just get something thats cheap and has little miles on it (and dosent look like **** if your into that) No sense paying tons of money if you don't plan on keeping it that long.
