Working out is about being healthy not skinny.

Haven't really worked out since I graduated High School last year(was on the wrestling team)

...Haven't gained any weight...but have lost muscle and probably couldn't run a mile without metaphorically dying.
you could. Its all in your head. I can get anyone one these boards in mediocre 80 to 85th percentile plus shape. See below, and be sure to look below the other sh*t below what is below. or else you wont see it*

This was me for much of my life.

rock on. That's pure dedication and will.

*here we are, below the below.

Anyways the key to 80th percentile plus fitness is to show up about once or twice a month. Get your lift on, do some hardcore running, or whatever it is you want to do. The rest of the days in the month are for eating and emotional recovery.

I don't honestly see the point in weights. There are better ways to build strength.

this is probably true, when we speak of functional real world strength.

Weights are easy though, and they were always easy. In contact sports weights are used because of their mass gaining properties, in addition to the sometimes relevant strength they provide.

Yummy, this OPFace. I'm well aware of training for contact sports.

There are other ways to gain mass as well as strength that are better options than weights.

I heard once that Lebron barely ever lifts.

I'm not going to say I totally believe you based on the number of professional athletes that do lift(the vast majority), but I've heard of a lot of different exercises. Or actually not really. I have heard of weight vests and resistance bands though... sleds, etc.

only somewhat relevant and addressed to all of OT: Do you stretch?

I use resistance bands and you're right, they are very good for strength training.

I don't have weight vests but I fill a backpack with large rocks.

Other good things to use, tires of all sizes for various exercizes. medicine balls, large sledge hammers, large logs, parachutes to use for sprints. Lots of ordinary things. I use my pool a lot too but it's getting colder.

I am not doing a damn thing, though I have been contemplating working out again. I kind of miss it...
