I figure I can put in work there and research then get on my grind at the bike club casino. Then spend the rest of the time shopping as relaxation.

Anyone who goes to cons have any tips or advice that I should know before going to this?

Hippo, Fatty, or Amber would provide the best advice.
I've only been to a few tiny local cons here and there, nothing big. My advice? Go with some friends and do what you want. Meet some new peeps and make it an adventure. I'm not sure what specific advice you're looking for. Mine is simple.

Hippo has been very helpful and while combative Amber has given me valuable info also.

Yes Semp, you've been very helpful also and I appreciate it.

What kind of skills do you need to make the weapons you make?

What kind of materials do you use?

I'm guessing you have to paint also?

personally i prefer wood, i like to carve my weapons, more solid, sleeker design, but there is the weight issue, so, when i made my blades i couldnt make those out of wood because i cant carry that much weight around my arms all day, so i made them out of insulation foam, carves easy, weighs almost nothing, but for what im doing now, i can make it out of wood because im either holding it with two hands or walking around with it like a staff of sorts, when im not posing.

for the foam you have to be careful in which paint you use, some will dissolve the foam completely, spray paints will do that, i use acrylic, only problem is, you can have to acrylic surfaces touching each other for to long or else they stick together and the paint can rip, especially in hot weather.
