Ophus, the Possessed Soldier
Type: Tank, Melee, Pusher
A frontline soldier for Noxus, Ophus began to distinguish himself not only in the battlefield but as a fiercely loyal soldier in the public eye. An ideal footsoldier, he was chosen by Research and Development's special operations team for a dangerous and experimental procedure. A team of summoners sought to bind a powerful spirit to a man whose unswerving loyalty might allow him to exert his willpower over it. In this way, Noxus would attain an impressive new weapon to put to use on the Fields of Justice.
Instead, an ancient and terrible power was infused into the man, and he went on a spree. The entire group of spellweavers was torn asunder, leaving nobody capable of following in their footsteps. They had turned Ophus into a much deadlier weapon that day, one Noxus would not hesitate to put into the League of Legends as much for their own safety as they did for their glory. Ophus' iron will, as it turned out, is only enough to aim the fury of the titanic being contained within. He cannot stop himself.
Appearance: Ophus is a muscular man of average height, lightly tanned skin, black eyes, and black curtained hair. Hawklike features compliment the military bearing of the man who dresses in typical Noxian military uniform. However, around the sides of his face and his forehead, demonic skin can be seen encroaching. Shredded sleeves show more demon skin growing over his hands and forearms, his fingers ending in claws. When he transforms however, the skin turns charcoal gray and smooth. The regular fingers pair off to become large talons made of stone, the thumb also becoming one. Large jagged horns jut out from the forehead, and the eyes become pitch black. Massive leathery wings erupt from the back. The feet turn into cloven hooves.
Playstyle and Skills
Ophus is a melee tank and pusher, made to stymy and turn around lanes and rush the Champions who lag behind. A brutal direct assault fighters, he uses Aggressive Assault to halt lane progression, which he can use to assist him in taking down enemy Champions. Coupled with Overwhelming Rage, Ophus can brutalize his foes, and complete their death with Consume Soul to add to his Ascendant Form's transformation timer. If need be, he may activate his Ascendant Form early to escape situations which would land someone else in hot water, but it may not play to his advantage to hold it as an escape card.
Health: 445 (+83/level)
Health Regen: 7.10 (+0.75/level)
Passive: Unbridled Rage
Ophus gains fury for every autoattack he makes, and for every attack made against him based on a percentage of damage he takes. (I.E. 10% of his life in damage results in 10 Fury)
Q: Aggressive Assault
Cost: 15 Fury
Cooldown: 23/21/19/17/15 seconds
Orphus leaps to a target location within a radius and impacts the ground there for 25/50/75/100/125 (+33% AD) to all affected opponents, also knocking them back a short distance from the center of the impact.
W: Overwhelming Rage
Cost: 25 Fury
Cooldown: 18 seconds
Passive: Orphus gains 3% Attack Speed and 3% Damage when he consecutively attacks a single opponent. This can stack up to 5 times.
Active: Orphus gains full stacks without needing to focus on a single opponent for 6/7/8/9/10 seconds, but cannot benefit from generating stacks until the cooldown has worn off.
E: Consume Soul
Cost: 30 Fury
Orphus reaches out and deals 40/80/120/160/200 (+50% AP) to target enemy, dealing double damage if they happen to be below 15% of their maximum HP. If Ophus lands a killing blow against a Champion with this ability, he generates a Soul Charge whose tally will show in the tool tip.
R (UItimate): Ascendant Form
Cost: All Current Fury
Cooldown: 75/75/75 seconds
Ophus unleashes the Demon within, turning into the creature's true form for 8 seconds. He gains 33/66/100 Damage, 10/30/50 Magic Resistance, and 20/40/60 Armor based on a percentage of the Fury used when changing forms. (55 Fury when using Ascendant Form 3 will result in 55 Damage, 27.5 Magic Resistance, and 33 Armor for example.) For every Soul Charge that Ophus has, the transformation will be extended by an additional 3 seconds. A Consume Soul that successfully garners a Soul Charge will add to the time of the current transformation if Ascendant Form is already activated.
